Think Hollywood is bereft of original ideas? You just might after this. Here's our look at the assorted movie sequels currently in the works. Since we last did a list like this, we've dropped films that seem to have died a death - Wanted 2, Spring Breakers 2 - but we'll keep this rundown up to date over the coming month.

23 Jump Street

Sony is pressing ahead with a third Jump Street movie, as well as a possible Jump Street vs Men In Black film, and a female-headlined spin-off. For 23 Jump Street specifically, Rodney Rothman is back and working on the script (he wrote the second one). James Wan Says His 'MacGyver' Movie Would've Been Like 'North By Northwest' & 'Enemy Of The State'

While James Wan is putting on his blockbuster shoes in a very big way with the upcoming, possibly Oscar winning "Furious 7," before he signed up to the gasoline smelling franchise, he was attached to direct the big screen version of television's most handy hero, "MacGyver." Wan wound up making "Furious 7" instead, moving on from that reboot, and while there was a script in place by Jason Richman ("Swing Vote," "Bangkok Dangerous"), which was rewritten by Brian and Mark Gunn ("Bring It On Again," "Journey 2: The Mysterious Island"), the director has shared his own pretty wild concept for the "MacGyver" he wanted to make.  “ initial concept was I wanted to do a young college MacGyver who went to Boston, one of the great universities, who’s really brilliant, right?
