John Cena’s Wrestlemania 33 match set up at Elimination Chamber? WWE star returns…

The Smackdown-branded Elimination Chamber pay-per-view had two huge title changes. Naomi, after nearly eight years in the company, finally added another WWE accomplishment to her Best Dance Moves of the Year 2013 Slammy Award: the WWE Smackdown Women’s Championship. And in the Elimination Chamber main event – which had a revamped design with a much more forgiving floor – Bray Wyatt became the new WWE Champion.

I’ve been talking about Bray winning the championship to set up his Wrestlemania 33 title match against Randy Orton since last month – as reported by the Wrestling Observer. But I found myself so drawn into the Chamber match, especially during the final three, there were moments where I started to mentally draft up excuses for being wrong.

But Smackdown did the right thing in the end. Wyatt looked incredibly strong in victory, pinning both Aj and Cena. Orton appeared at the top of the ramp – From Outta Now-well,

WWE Superstar Darren Young Reveals That He Is Gay

TMZ recently caught up with Darren Young at Lax Airport and asked if it was possible for a gay man to succeed in the WWE. Darren Young responded with, “Absolutely. Look at me. I’m a WWE superstar and to be honest with you, I’ll tell you right now, I’m gay. And I’m happy. I’m very happy”

Darren Young coming out makes him the first openly gay, contracted WWE superstar of all time. The announcement also makes him the first openly gay superstar from a major professional wrestling organisation. It was a very brave decision and a very bold one and Darren deserves a lot of credit for doing this.

Several WWE and wresting personalities commented on Darren’s big announcement.

Stephanie McMahon: “Congratulations to @DarrenYoungWWE for being the first openly gay WWE Superstar!”

John Cena: “I know Darren personally. Darren’s a great guy.

How I Would Run The Tna Action Figure Line

I love Tna. I love Jakks Pacific. I was so excited when Jakks announced that they acquired the license to make Tna action figures. I was so pumped. I loved what Jakks had done with the WWE license from the Ruthless Aggression figures, to the Deluxe figures, to the Classic Superstars line. Jakks gave us, without a doubt, the best years of wrestling figures when they had the WWE license. Since Jakks acquired the Tna line in 2010, we’ve gotten 10 sets of figures. Just ten! When Jakks had WWE we would get more than 10 sets a year!

It’s safe to say that I am disappointed with the Tna line of figures, in the amount that we get. I love the figures. I really do. I get excited every time they announce a new line-up. Unfortunately, that seems to be once every 6-8 months. I really wish Jakks would try

WWE: Kane’s 10 Most Memorable Moments

Watching WWE TV over the past couple of weeks, it seems remarkable to see Kane still wrestling at the top of his game in main event matches. After making his debut nearly 16 years ago, the “Big Red Machine” has fought nearly everyone in the WWE’s history and taken part in some classic moments along the way. Whether it was through the never-ending saga with his brother the Undertaker; dominating competitors and claiming multiple titles along the way; or some of the more lighthearted moments that have arisen in his career, Kane has established himself as an obvious future Hall of Famer, having entertained millions for years.

While there are multiple moments from such an established career that you could pick out as being some of his best, here are ten of the very greatest moments so far.

10. Ecw Championship, Wrestlemania Xxiv (2008)

After seemingly being left of the Wrestlemania Xxiv card,

Tna Impact: Looking At The “Cut It Out” Edition

Last week, I made a point of saying that building to Corpus Christi, Texas next week which shortchange the audience in Jonesboro and that you had to make every impact of special. Well, this week I feel like they accomplished that more was great action, storyline building and good episode structure.

From the beginning with the opening segment as the Aces and Eights have three gifts, Mr. Anderson with a cut for Aj Styles (Everyone called it a cut in the episode and not a leather vest… I guess everyone watched their Sons of Anarchy DVD set again). A mystery envelope that Devon has saying it was.for the President of the club and his lovely bride who will have a confrontation later tonight and the Vice President D’ lo Brown has his termination letter from Tna Corporate.

The Vice President says he wants some answers and he knows somebody

Tna Impact Wrestling Review 7/2/13

Another Thursday, another episode of Impact Wrestling passes us by, and tonight had all the makings of an excellent outing for the second largest wrestling organisation. Both the X-Division Championship and the World Tag Team Championships would be defended, there would be a tag team tables match featuring Bully Ray and Sting against members of Aces & Eights, and hopefully we will be treated to some explanations as to why Garrett Bischoff and Wes Brisco turned on their mentor Kurt Angle to join the nefarious biker gang.

Once again, the Impact Zone was emanating from Manchester in the United Kingdom, so expect some raucous crowd interaction and a great deal of low-key racism from the heel superstars tonight. The UK love it when either Tna or WWE come to their neck of the woods, and they will certainly try and make the most of the extended stay of the Impact wrestlers on their shores.

WWE Raw Review: Some Stuff Happened For 3 Hours

Ugghh. That is my immediate reaction to last night’s episode of Raw. I don’t know what it was but the show seemed to drag on longer than normal. I knew that I was going to be reviewing the episode today so I kept tuned in for as long as I could, hoping that something interesting was going to happen. That never really happened. After last week’s post Rumble Raw, it seemed like the WWE was fine with just ho-humming through another week of programming as we continue towards the Elimination Chamber PPV and ultimately Wrestlemania. This review won’t be all negative though, as there were a few bright spots (emphasis on few) sprinkled in.

Opening Segment: Cm Punk Promo

Last night’s Raw opened the same way most Raw’s do, with Cm Punk coming out and talking about the championship. Cm Punk wasn’t as

Tna Reaction: January 24th 2013

In this week’s edition of Tna Impact Wrestling, we are set to encounter the fallout from last week’s wedding fiasco. After Tazz’s shocking decision to join the Aces and Eights, the group gatecrashed the wedding and proceeded to take out every person in site, and forced Brooke Hogan to watch both her father and her fiancee Bully Ray get beaten down by the rebellious bandits. Also, there will be two championship matches, as Velvet Sky challenges Tara for the Knockouts Championship, and Jeff Hardy defends his World Heavyweight Championship against Christopher Daniels.

Tazz Speaks Out On His Betrayal

Tazz walks out to the ring accompanied by his Aces and Eights brethren, and begins to address the questions as to why he joined their group. In his reasoning, he mentions his thrill of being supported and guided by a higher power, which indicates that somebody particularly famous in

WWE Suspend Randy Orton For 60 Days After Drug Failure

WWE.com has announced that “The Viper” Randy Orton has been suspended for 60 days following his second violation of the WWE Talent Wellness policy. The suspension was effective as of Wednesday and he will now miss the next two months of WWE touring, which includes June’s WWE No Way Out pay-per-view and July’s WWE Money in the Bank pay-per-view.

The official WWE website didn’t go into much detail and mentioned his suspension with the following;

Stamford, Conn. – In accordance with its Talent Wellness Program, WWE has suspended Randy Orton for 60 days effective today for his second violation of the company’s policy.

Failing the WWE Talent Wellness policy basically means he was taking a substance he shouldn’t have been, similarly the reason why Rey Mysterio is also currently suspended. WWE superstars are suspended 30 days for their first violation, 60 days for their second and usually the third suspension means they are fired.

WWE Future Endeavoured Class of 2011 Video

The annual fan-made video celebrating the class of 2011 Future Endeavoured (i.e. those in the WWE who have left the company in the past year) has been released on Youtube. This year’s list includes 16 wrestlers and personalities who were let go this past year and including the huge surprises of David Hart Smith and Chris Masters being let go when many felt like they could have been SuperStars for years. Finlay, Chavo Guerrero and John Morrison obviously will also be missed having been great servants for the company over the past decade.

mangler989 uploaded the video to Youtube and gave us the following info on the selection process;

Here is the class of 2011 Future Endeavors from the WWE. This list includes all TV personalities. The Rule: If you were on TV and are no longer working for the WWE, then you make the video. It doesn’t matter if they were terminated,

WWE 12 – Full Roster Of Over 75 Wrestlers Revealed

WWE 12 will finally hit stores on Tuesday (in the U.S.) and on Friday (in the U.K.) and after some stellar reviews in the last few days, I don’t remember being this excited about a wrestling video game in years. IGN’s 9.0 scoring review mentioned the gameplay was ‘No Mercy like’ several times and there is actually a combat system here that makes sense and isn’t just a flashy presentation with no substance to the graphics. But then they still have the graphics and all the cool modes and the first time, Thq’s video game franchise feels like it belongs on the shelf alongside the mastered EA sports franchises of FIFA and Madden. IGN overall called it ‘amazing’.

Over the past few months, Thq have teased us as to what wrestlers will be included in the game and now on the eve of release we have a final figure.

Rich in History, Void of Attention – The State of WWE’s Mid-Card

On a sweltering August night at Madison Square Garden in the heart of New York City, two up-and-coming WWE superstars did battle in a hotly contested, hugely anticipated ladder match that would be talked about for years to come. Triple H and The Rock would go on to have multiple reigns as WWE Champions, and in the process, become some of the biggest superstars in WWE history. It wasn’t the WWE Title they were vying for at Summerslam ’98, but rather, the coveted Intercontinental Championship.

Fast forward to Wrestlemania 2000 in Anaheim, California. Three tag teams putting their bodies on the line in a main event caliber ladder match for the WWE Tag Team Championship. Three of those six men would go on to become World Champion.

The key to these particular match-ups (both of them being ladder matches notwithstanding) is that while the participants were competing for undercard championships,

WWE – No Longer The Best In The World

It has been said by many wrestling fans for a long time now that WWE just isn’t as entertaining as it used to be. And how could that be? I mean, entertainment is right there in the name: World Wrestling Entert… oh. Well, it used to be, before the powers that be changed the name of the company from World Wrestling Entertainment to simply WWE.

That’s right folks, those letters don’t actually stand for anything any more. Still, you would think that a Wrestling company would want to provide it’s fans with the best Wrestling show they could possibly produce, right? That may be, but sadly WWE doesn’t want to be considered as a “wrestling” company any longer either. Yes sir, you read that correctly. WWE has every intention of becoming less a company based in “sports entertainment” and more a huge multimedia conglomerate. The current plan,

Bob Barker + WWE = The Price is Raw

Our obsession with/horror at the guest host gigs on WWE's Monday Night Raw continued last night as Bob Barker stepped into the arena to serve as emcee in Chicago. If you saw his name trending on Twitter, that's why. (Breathe! The man is alive and well and looking great.) What does Bob have to plug, you ask? His autobiography Priceless Memories, from which all proceeds go to his DJ&T Foundation. The opening of the show was the most painful. After Barker received a warm response — "I thank you for that wonderful welcome. I wish I had a refrigerator for everyone!" "We are really going to party tonight!" — we were forced to watch him play "The Price is Raw" with a few of the WWE stars bidding on the upcoming Best of Smackdown DVD. Chris Jericho literally got in Bob's face for referring to him as "Chris" instead of "Mr.
