Neve Campbell and director Dan Ireland are teaming on the U.K./Canadian co-production The Legacy, an indie feature inspired by Guy de Maupassant's French novel Pierre et Jean. The film is scheduled to begin production June 1 in the United Kingdom. Campbell will segue into the project after she wraps shooting the U.K.-based comedy feature Churchill: The Hollywood Years, which is in production with Christian Slater also starring (HR 3/13). Legacy, written by Sacha Grunpeter and Ireland, is about a rift that develops between two brothers after one receives an inheritance and the other does not. Campbell portrays a young American widow who is traveling in England and is taken in by the boys' family. Both brothers fall in love with her. Grunpeter will also take on a role in the film. »
