Castle investigates a murder at the Sci-Fi Con...
but why is guest star Ed Quinn dressed in such a baggy costume?
In a surprising development, Fox has cut back on its order for the Becki Newton/Scott Foley comedy, The Goodwin Games, reducing the series frist season from thirteen to seven episodes and suddenly halting filming. Usually, that's a sign that the network doesn't have a lot of confidence in the show, but in this case there's a plausible alternative — with The Mindy Project getting a 26-episode season and Ben & Kate getting 19 episodes, Goodwin's first season was cut to match the needs of the Tuesday night lineup.
Is the sitcom spin-off dead? The failure of The Farm makes it look that way, especially since CBS doesn't seem to be looking to extend the life of its older hits with a Frasier-style (or Joey) spin-off.

Brace yourselves. This list of the Top 100 Greatest Gay Movies is probably going to generate some howls of protest thanks to a rather major upset in the rankings. Frankly, one that surprised the hell out of us here at AfterElton.
But before we get to that, an introduction. A few weeks ago we asked AfterElton readers to submit up to ten of their favorite films by write-in vote. We conducted a similar poll several years ago, but a lot has happened culturally since then, and a number of worthy movies of gay interest have been released. We wanted to see how your list of favorites had changed.
We also wanted to expand our list to 100 from the top 50 we had done previously. We figured there were finally enough quality gay films to justify the expansion. And we wanted to break out gay documentaries onto their own list (You'll find the »

“My Friend Dahmer,” the autobiographical graphic novel about serial killer, Jeffery Dahmer’s childhood, is being developed for the big screen by Ibid Filmworks. Written by two-time Eisner award nominee John ”Derf” Backderf, “My Friend Dahmer” follows Derf’s teenage friendship with Jeffrey Dahmer from the age of 12 up to the day he kills his first victim.
While the film will focus a little on the horrific elements of the story,”My Friend Dahmer” is going to be more of a coming-of-age movie, with it being described as ‘Welcome To The Dollhouse’ meets ‘Dazed And confused’ via ‘Henery: Portrait Of A Seriel Killer.’
“My Friend Dahmer” doesn’t make excuses for Dahmer’s crimes but it does look at his childhood sympathetically with Derf and his friends encouraging the young Dahmer to act out and have fake epileptic fits in the library. It also follows Dahmer’s increasing isolation, his »

When the premise of Castle was first announced – Nathan Fillion playing a mystery writer who tags along with the NYPD solving crimes – I thought I might swoon. In essence, it was a brand new Murder, She Wrote, with Firefly's Mal Reynolds as Jessica Fletcher. This, I need hardly point out, is an idea of almost unrivalled greatness.
But when the show began, it was immediately clear that we were dealing with an altogether hipper, more knowing series. It was also much grislier: Castle murders have included a man found with a bag of severed heads (Headhunters: 4, 21), a woman killed in a washer-dryer (Nanny McDead: 1, 2), and a frozen corpse hanging at a building site (A Chill Goes Through Her Veins: 1,5).
The pre-credits sequence of the opening episode of Castle (Flowers For Your Grave) is a masterclass in speedy, »
