Clare Grogan was born on March 17, 1962 in Glasgow, Scotland as Clare Patricia Grogan. She is an actress, known for Gregory's Girl (1980), Comfort and Joy (1984) and Coffee and Cake (2014). She has been married to Stephen Lironi since 1994. They have one child.

Had success as lead singer of "Altered Images", including hits "Happy Birthday" and "I Could Be Happy", from 1980.
Married record producer Stephen Lironi in Glasgow in 1994. Like Clare he is also a former member of "Altered Images" (guitar/drums).
Was obliged to appear on television as "C.P. Grogan" because there was already a Clare Grogan in Equity (the British Actors Union).
Appeared in a British girls' teen magazine "My Guy" in a 1981 photo story as "Gemma Tate".
In 2005, after six miscarriages and four failed IVF attempts, she and her husband Stephen Lironi adopted a daughter, Lucia Lironi.
Chloe Annett replaced Clare Grogan as Kochanski in "Red Dwarf", when Kochanski became a regular character.
