In This Episode...
New vampires come to town. Jayne kills two of them on the train; a third escapes. The third is Josef, who heads straight to Dracula’s manor. They are old friends. Dracula made Josef, and the two fought together. Dracula considered him to be his right-hand man. It is a joyous reunion. Renfield is a little uneasy about this uncouth, undisciplined vampire moving in with them. Josef kills one of the cooks, recognizes Mina as the reincarnation of Dracula’s wife, and is offended that Dracula is sleeping with a huntress.
Speaking of the huntress... Dracula/Grayson must devise a plan. If he kills her, the Order will simply replace her. Grayson wants to destroy her - by violating her trust. Apparently in Victorian England, all that requires is being...

Dracula, Season 1, Episode 4, “From Darkness to Light”
Written by Tom Grieves
Directed by Andy Goddard
Airs Fridays at 10pm (Et) on NBC
Here’s what is so frustrating about NBC’s Dracula- it has flashes of absolute juicy goodness, like the standoff that is brewing between Alexander Grayson (Jonathon Rhys Meyers) and kickass Lady Jane (Victoria Smurfit) or the unabashedly steamy love scenes. But aside from these moments everything else seems so – blah. In short, there’s a lot of potential but nowhere for it to go. We’re four episodes in and it feels like we’re stuck with no real movement forward.
With the introduction of one of Grayson’s unpredictable and out for revenge against Lady Jane sires, “From Darkness to Light” is a vast improvement over last week’s deeply flawed “Goblin Merchant Men”. Where last week’s episode highlighted the show’s problems, “From...

Summary:
In an old B&B in a sleepy seaside town, we join Annie (Lenora Crichlow) and her housemates Tom (Michael Socha) and Hal (Damien Molony). With a newborn baby to look after, it’s never been more difficult to live life under-the-radar as a ghost, a werewolf, and a vampire. There are also other vampires to deal with: lurking in every corner of society, waiting for the Old Ones, powerful older vampires, to arrive and take over the world with brutal force. Worse yet, there’s a malevolent ghost on the loose and someone’s seeking to expose the existence of werewolves – not to mention all the diapers that need changing.
This week’s new episode sees the return of a familiar character; we met vampire Adam (Craig Roberts) last season.
