Studied acting at the Studio 68 Drama School in London. In 1973, appeared alongside Olivier at the West End in 'Saturday, Sunday, Monday', directed by Franco Zeffirelli.
She was adept at playing the guitar and had an excellent singing voice.
The daughter of a German industrialist, she grew up in Switzerland, Germany and Holland. She was fluent in German, French, Italian and Portuguese.
