For an upcoming episode of NBC‘s “Law & Order: Svu,” the team will investigate a story that viewers might already be familiar with. TVLine reported that the procedural is developing an plotline inspired by the sexual harassment scandal that ended in the resignation of Fox News CEO Roger Ailes. (As a reminder: Ex-Fox News host Gretchen Carlson alleged Ailes retaliated against her after she refused his numerous sexual advances; after a deluge of other similar stories, Ailes stepped down from his role.) Characters in the “Svu” episode include a “controlling” news network head, a female anchor with a dark secret, and a young up-and-coming reporter willing to do anything to advance her career. The
Sources said NBC brass made the decision Friday afternoon amid the extraordinary atmosphere of at least four women coming forward with stories of groping or sexual assault against the Republican nominee for president. Trump has steadfastly denied each of the women’s accounts, accusing them of lying as part of a politically motivated effort to smear him in the final weeks of the fractious presidential race.
“Unstoppable” features a Donald Trump-esque character running for president who gets tangled up in a sordid case when several women come forward with damaging accusations. There are other elements of the storyline that make the episode extremely touchy to air in the current climate.
NBC declined to comment.

The episode will center around a politician — played by beloved character actor Gary Cole — whose campaign is derailed by damaging accusations from several women. Currie Graham, Meredith Travers, Bianca Amato and returning guest Peter Gallagher will also co-star. The episode, titled "Unstoppable," is scheduled to air October 26th at 9 p.m. Et on NBC.

Gary Cole stars as a character described by a source as a wealthy and boorish man who makes a run for the White House. Aspects of the story were said to be inspired by the civil lawsuit pending against Trump, the Republican nominee for president, by a woman who alleges she was raped by Trump when she was 13 in the mid-1990s. Trump’s attorneys have vehemently died the allegations by the woman identified in court documents as Jane Doe.

Meanwhile, District Attorney Siletti reels from a tragedy that may jeopardize his career. Others in the cast include Raphael Sbarge, Ian Anthony Dale, Currie Graham, and Mimi Kirkland.
Amanda Schull will be playing Melissa Danson, a ruthless new addition to the Attorney General's office.
Just how far will she be willing to go to get ahead?
From the looks of this exclusive clip, she's willing to go pretty darn far.
It's easy to see why Da Mario Siletti (Currie Graham) is a little worried about the birthday gift Melissa is offering.
If I were him, I might not make the joke about Melissa becoming Facebook friends with his wife.
After all, just how well does he know this woman?
The answer is that after his birthday gift, he will probably know her a little bit better.
Ok. A Lot better, if he really goes through will the receipt of said gift. A little privacy in the ladies room?
