Smoove, husband of the songstress Shahidah Omar and Robin Thicke, husband of Paula Patton. The second stars Damien Dante Wayans, Craig Wayans, George O. Gore II and Tatyana Ali. Did you watch? I wasn't home at the time, so I missed them both. However, I plan to catch up likely today; or before the next episodes air next week. If you did tune in, thoughts on either or both, after one episode? Funny? Charming? Inventive? Dull? Tedious? Will you be returning for more, or are you done?  Give me the goods...

[TV] My Wife & Kids: Season Two

I’m a sucker for a comfy sitcom – the kind of comfort food familiarity that used to be WB’s bread and butter. I grew up on WB’s afternoon cartoon block, which was inevitably followed by Family Matters and the sitcom ilk. My Wife & Kids is content to meet similar expectations as a non-threatening, barely edgy comedy clocking in at twenty and change per episode. This is not meant as a criticism, but rather a genuine assessment of what to expect coming in. If you’re looking for an easy sitcom to settle into, My Wife & Kids succeeds with a couple of well-earned belly laughs and a cast that is easy to watch and watch some more.

Damon Wayans continues to lead the cast as househusband Michael Kyle, a smart-mouthed father and husband who never lets an opportunity to school his kids pass him by. George O. Gore II

Next wave of Wayanses coming

The prolific Wayans clan has begun to turn out a second generation of multihyphenate comic performers. UTA has just signed Damien Dante Wayans -- nephew of filmmaker Keenen Ivory ("White Chicks") -- for representation in all areas, and Craig and Damon Jr. are set to co-star in Damien's directing debut, "Dance Flick," a Paramount comedy to be released May 22.

Damien is a co-writer (along with Craig, Keenen, Shawn and Marlon) and executive producer of the movie as well. Older-generation siblings Shawn, Marlon, Kim and Keenen all appear in the film.

Damien and Craig, along with producing partner George O. Gore II, also have formed a film and TV production company called, naturally, Second Generation Entertainment. The trio plans to create, develop and produce multiplatform content for the young-adult market.

Damien's acting career has included roles on TV's "House," "Malibu's Most Wanted" and "Little Man." He also been a supervising producer,
