He directed Josephine Tey's play, "Richard of Bordeaux," at the Theatre Royal in Brighton, East Sussex, England with Glen Byam Shaw, Angela Baddeley, Robert Morley, Alan Webb, Frith Banbury, Charles Cauntley, Richard Warner, and Antony Eustrel in the cast. Herbert Menges was musical director.
