Harold Goodwin was born on October 22, 1917 in Wombwell, Barnsley, Yorkshire, England. He was an actor, known for The Bridge on the River Kwai (1957), The Prince and the Showgirl (1957) and Rogue's Rock (1974). He died on June 3, 2004 in Middlesex, England.

English character actor, trained at RADA. Started in repertory in Liverpool. By 1949, appeared on the West End stage. A self-confessed socialist, who never lost his Barnsley accent, he tended to specialise in playing working class men, such as cabbies, stewards or non-commissioned officers.
