Sheldon Candis' feature film debut, Luv, which made its debut at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival in the dramatic competition section, stars Common and Michael Rainey Jr. Indomina Entertainment acquired the film after its Sundance premiere, and will open it theatrically in the USA on January 18th, 2013. Deception: Cancelled Quickly, Moderate Success, or Big Hit?

Many of this season's new dramas have already been cancelled. Will NBC's Deception find success in the ratings? Will it be a big hit, a moderate success, or will it be quickly cancelled instead?

Previously called Infamous, the Deception TV series takes place following the death of a wealthy party girl. Her childhood friend, now a police detective, goes undercover in the wealthy world that she left behind, reconnecting with the girl's family, to try to uncover what happened. The cast includes Laz Alonso, Meagan Good, Victor Garber, Katherine Lanasa, Tate Donovan, Wes Brown, and Ella Rae Peck.

Airing on Monday nights at 10pm, Deception runs opposite Castle on ABC and Hawaii Five-0 on CBS. It strts airing on Monday, Janury 7th.

The first episode of Deception, NBC’s new hour-long drama/murder mystery officially premieres Monday, Jan. 7, but like many new shows these days, the network has posted the first episode free on iTunes. The show kicks off with the murder of Vivian Bowers, a tabloid-friendly socialite and an heir to a huge pharmaceutical fortune. Although her death is first reported as a drug overdose, the FBI believes it to be murder. They recruit Bowers’ old friend, detective Joanna Locasto (Meagan Good), to secretly investigate because of her close relationship with the family. With the end of 30 Rock drawing near, the Emmy-winning actor has inked a two-year overall deal with the network, Deadline reports.

Under the new pact, Baldwin will help develop and produce series for NBC, with the possibility of starring in his own project.
