Arrow Season 5: Wil Traval is Revealed as Human Target!

18 August 2016 6:56 PM, PDT | TVfanatic | See recent TVfanatic news »

Is Oliver Queen in danger?

This casting notice sure makes it seem like he might be in a bit of a pickle.

While he's normally taking aim at others, on Arrow Season 5 Episode 5, "Human Target," he'll become the latest client of Christopher Chance aka Human Target, played by Wil Traval.

You probably know Traval from his roles as the Sheriff of Nottingham on Once Upon a Time or Will Simpson on Jessica Jones

Turns out he's no stranger to DC Comics. Welcome back, Wil!

Human Target is a professional bodyguard and master of disguise who assumes the identities of those targeted by assassins. Uh oh, right?

Sure, Oliver could be hiring Mr. Chance to protect someone else while he's busy with other, more mayoral duties, but an assassin usually targets a political entity, and that description happens to fit our man Queen at the moment.

If the term "Human Target" rings a bell, »

Arrow Season 5 Trailer: Oliver Breaks in New Team, Shirtless Bratva Fights

23 July 2016 6:01 PM, PDT | TVLine.com | See recent TVLine.com news »

It’s time to get the band back together — or, form a new one! — as Arrow opens Season 5.

As seen in the trailer for the CW series’ new run, Oliver (begrudgingly) takes Felicity’s advice to break in a new battalion of wannabe heroes, in the wake of Diggle and Thea quitting the team.

Team Arrow 3.0 (4.0?) includes that faux Canary, Evelyn Crawford; a toughie named Wild Dog; and even tech whiz Curtis (who needs some help with the salmon ladder!).

Earlier this month, Stephen Amell said, “The villain that we are introducing is a direct result of things that Oliver »

Blindspot Star Joe Dinicol Will Play Ragman in Arrow Season 5

23 July 2016 10:43 AM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

The past couple of seasons of Arrow have received a mixed reaction from fans, and while it’s not as if the show is on the cusp of cancellation, it’s become clear that it needs to step up in a big way when it returns this October before we completely give up on it. Set to have a big appearance at Comic-Con this weekend, some casting news has leaked out just hours before the show’s panel takes place.

This one definitely points to The CW series getting something of a shake up, as Joe Dinicol (Blindspot) has been cast as relatively obscure character Rory Regan, a.k.a. Ragman. Another vigilante (in a season which looks set to be full of them), this version of the hero is described as follows:

TV: Opinion-How to Win Back the 'Arrow' Audience in Season 5

5 July 2016 7:23 PM, PDT | LatinoReview | See recent LatinoReview news »

Production for Arrow: Season 5 recently began with the series returning to the CW on Wednesday, October 5th at 8 pm.  Many individuals, including myself, were disappointed with the Season 4 Finale, let alone the entirety of Season 4.  I have always tried to find the best in Arrow, and have continuously watched the series trying to give it the benefit of the doubt.  At the conclusion of Season 4 I began to compare all of the seasons.  Obviously seasons 1 and 2 were the best, but I began to think what it was that attracted me to the series during those seasons.

Season 1 was great because it was the “origin”.  I looked forward to the island scenes wondering how they would escape, and would then be eager to see how the flashback scenes meshed with the current timeline, which they did.  There were two story lines, but each one gave the audience pieces to the overall plot. »

Carly Pope joins Arrow season 5 as Green Lantern character Susan Williams

1 July 2016 3:00 AM, PDT | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

TV Insider is reporting that Carly Pope (The Tomorrow People) has joined the cast of Arrow for its fifth season, with the actress set to play Susan Williams, a Coast City journalist who comes to Star City “looking to make a name for herself” by targeting Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) for a big story.

In the comic book universe, Susan Williams is the wife of Jim Jordan, younger brother to Hal Jordan, a.k.a. the Green Lantern – a character who has been teased numerous times in the Arrowverse, but is yet to actually make an appearance.

Given that Superman is set to join the Arrowverse with a role in Supergirl, surely it’s only a matter of time before we see Hal Jordan making his debut, right?

Carly Pope Joins Arrow Season 5 As A Character With Ties To Hal Jordan/Green Lantern

29 June 2016 12:27 PM, PDT | ComicBookMovie.com | See recent ComicBookMovie news »

TV Insider reveals that Carly Pope has joined the cast of Arrow season five as Susan Williams, a journalist who hails from Coast City. Sounds pretty unexciting, right? Well, in the comics, she's maried to Jim Jordan, the younger brother of Hal Jordan! Now, this doesn't necessarily mean we're going to see Green Lantern, but the hero has been teased so many times that it's hard not to wonder if it will finally happen. Either way, this is undeniably another very interesting nod to the character's existence.  Regardless, this version of Susan apparently comes to Star City in the hope of landing a big story on Mayor Oliver Queen. She'll first appear in the third episode of Arrow's fifth season and joins an ever growing list of new additions which also includes Josh Segarra, Rick Gonzalez, Chad L. Coleman, and Tyler Ritter. Arrow Season 5: Carly Pope Joins as Coast City Reporter

29 June 2016 11:49 AM, PDT | TVfanatic | See recent TVfanatic news »

Will the big story be on Oliver Queen?

It will be if Wendy Williams has anything to say about it.

Carly Pope has been tapped to play Susan Williams, a Coast City journalist who set her sites on Queen as a way to break into the big time. Goodness knows Oliver Queen should be in the news a lot more than he probably is.

If the name sounds familiar to comics fans, it probably would, as Williams is married to Jim Jordan, the little brother of Hal Jordan, none other than the Green Lantern

Yes, we will come thisclose to the Green Lantern once again without going near the character.

With Superman making an appearance on Supergirl, it sure seems silly to keep Green Lantern away from The CW's DC family, doesn't it?

Anyway. Susan will make her first appearance on Arrow Season 5 Episode 3. Expect something to be going down with the new mayor. »
