The Miami native, actor Carlos Gomez will be starring in the highly anticipated new television drama series "LAW & ORDER TRUE CRIME: MENENDEZ MURDER" on NBC network as Jose Menendez. The series will premiere this fall September 26 at 10/9c. Recently Mr. Gomez co-starred in the hit drama television series "Madam Secretary" as Agent Jose Campos.
On the silver screen Gomez starred opposite Ice Cube and Kevin Hart in the hit comedy sequel "RIDE ALONG 2" as Captain Hernandez. Carlos Gomez is one of the most widely known character actors and versatile performers working today. His career spans more than 20 years in film, television and theater. Gomez is one of a small group of Hispanic actors who blazed the trail for others who have since followed and succeeded. He's co-starred in over a dozen films; in major releases, such as "A Dolphin Tale 2", "Desperado", "Fools Rush In", "Enemy of the State", "The Replacement Killers", "A Day Without A Mexican", "All About Steve", "The Mambo Kings", "The Negotiator", "The Perfect Game", "A House Of Sand And Fog" and many others. Having worked with Salma Hayek, Antonio Banderas, Sandra Bullock, Samuel Jackson, Kevin Spacey, Alec Baldwin, Nicole Kidman and George Clooney to name a few.
Well known on the small screen the award-winning actor co-starred in the record breaking rating drama for 4 years on A&E network's hit show "The Glades", as Carlos Sanchez and won three Imagen Award for Best Supporting Actor and garnered him numerous Alma Award nominations. His credits include an extensive variety of roles in some of the highest rated tv shows such as "GANG RELATED", "WEEDS", "SLEEPER CELL", "FRIENDS", "NYPD BLUE", "NCIS", "CRIMINAL MINDS", "HOUSE OF LIES", "CHARMED", "BOSTON LEGAL", "GRIMM, "ER" and many more.
In theatre, Carlos completed over 300 performances as the original character of Kevin Rosario on Broadway in the Tony Award Winning musical "IN THE HEIGHTS". His two songs "Inutil" and "Atencion" were both part of the GRAMMY AWARD winning musical soundtrack. In 2016 Carlos returned to the New York stage in the critically acclaimed play "Daphine's Dive", helmed by HAMILTON's director Thomas Kail.
