Sharon Stone, Natalie Portman Take Top Honors at Israel Film Festival Gala
As expected, the 2016 presidential election was the underlying thrust of Wednesday night’s gala dinner honoring the 30th anniversary of the Israel Film Festival where Natalie Portman, Sharon Stone, and Jay Sanderson, president and CEO of the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles, were honored for their philanthropic and cultural contributions.

“Good evening, my fellow Canadians,” joked comedian Elan Gold, who emceed the night’s festivities, held at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. “So we survived day one,” he quipped. “It should have been called a big erection because a dick won.”

Meir Fenigstein, founder and executive director of the fest, was on hand to tout its achievements in bridging cultural divides between Israel and the rest of the world. In its three decades, the fest has showcased nearly 1,000 feature films, documentaries and television series and brought more than 450 filmmakers to the United States.

“We are not just promoting Israeli film in Los Angeles,

Bones Sneak Peek: Cam Has Relationship Problems (Feb. 3)

After last week's terrific Gravedigger/sniper episode of Bones, the team will go back to focusing on a case of the week.  On February 3, Booth and Brennan will investigate the death of a man found in a cornfield, and race around the clock to ensure that the evidence isn't destroyed by an incoming storm.  They end up discovering that the victim is a polygamist with three wives.  Naturally, Booth thinks that jealousy among the sister wives is a pretty good motive for murder, and sets his sights on the family.

Cam, meanwhile, is running into some difficulties with her current doctor boyfriend, guest star Elon Gold.  The boyfriend's job keeps him so busy, it prevents the two of them from spending a lot of time together, so Cam takes out her aggressions with some good old fashioned gun shooting, which is featured in the sneak peek/preview below.

When you're done watching the video below,

Bones Photos & Promo: Polygamy Comes to Bones!

The last episode of Bones was terrific, wasn't it? It set in place what I think will be a great story arc for Booth about his sniper history, even if it was one of the grossest episodes ever. A new episode of Bones will be airing on February 3 and it's going to be like an episode of Big Love, with a polygamist the victim of murder (well, Big Love in the sense of multiple wives, not the polygamist dying). Will the episode help Booth recognize his feelings for Brennan?

Below we have promo photos, a synopsis and a trailer from Fox.

'Bones' exclusive: A proposal in February! (Plus, scoop on the Brennan-centric and sniper episodes)
Bones fans are used to being teased, but executive producer Stephen Nathan wants to give you plenty of time to think about this one: “There will be a proposal coming, probably during February Sweeps,” he tells us. “It is my mission to torture the fans with this one. There will be a proposal. It will be a real proposal. And it will move things forward in a way that I think the fans will like.” Which couple is it? Nathan wouldn’t rule anyone out for us, except for Hodgins and Angela, obviously, since they’re already wed. Could it be Sweets and Daisy,

'Bones' star reveals new love interest
Tamara Taylor has revealed that her character in Bones will start a new relationship soon. Taylor told Popeater that Elon Gold will play a love interest for Dr. Camille Saroyan in future episodes of the show. "My love interest, it's so typical Cam," she said. "It's completely inappropriate and completely the wrong way to go about things. But she sort of lands in a mess - a whole, funny sweet mess. And that's how the love interest is introduced." Taylor added that she is looking forward to the scenes, explaining: "Oh my gosh, I'm so excited. Usually Cam is sleeping with other (more)

Photos – Bones 5.19 "The Rocker in the Rinse Cycle"

Alright, look, I love David Boreanaz. The man's got many skills. Singing? Not so much. I watched "Angel". So the fact that it looks like he will be singing in the April 29 new episode of Bones kind of scares me. But also makes me laugh. Try to find videos of Angel singing Barry Manilow. Hilarious.

Fox has released promo photos and a synopsis for the April 29 episode. Check them out below.

Elon Gold Cast as Cam's Love Interest on Bones

  • TVfanatic
While Bones fans are quite displeased over the casting of Rena Sofer as a potential love interest for Booth, they might not be as critical of this announcement:

Elon Gold will debut on the show in April in the potentially recurring role of a love interest for Camille.

The actor has guest-starred on The Mentalist and was a series regular on Fox’s short-lived Pamela Anderson sitcom Stacked. Let's never speak of that again.

Earlier this month, Bones producer Stephen Nathan told Entertainment Weekly that Cam will meet her new man “in a very bizarre way.” He also said the romance “complicates [Cam's] relationship with her adopted daughter, Michelle.”

Hmmm... interesting. Bones returns with a new episode on April 1.

Make no bones about it: Cam's getting a boyfriend on Bones! Actor-comedian Elon Gold — best known from Fox's short-lived Pamela Anderson sitcom Stacked — is joining the cast as a love interest for Cam. As exec producer Stephen Nathan recently teased, Cam will meet her new beau "in a very bizarre way." He added that the romance "complicates [Cam's] relationship with her adopted daughter, Michelle." Elon's potentially recurring gig kicks off in April. Thoughts? Happy that Cam is getting a juicy storyline and a little nookie-nookie to boot? Terrifyingly Gnarly # 19 - Teenage Filmmaker Jd Lifshitz Gets Killed On The 4th Of July
So it’s April. It’s the Los Angeles stop of this past year’s Fango Weekend of Horrors. In the midst of experiencing L.A. and being so close to this horror industry for the first time, I’m standing at the Fangoria booth just kind of throwing words around with attendees and colleagues, about movies, music, comics and well, geek stuff.

Up to the table comes the young J.D. Lifshitz, who, now 17, was a 16 year old kid in a short sleeved button down, a baseball cap and surprising knowledge of all things horror (it’s nice when the kids have had some history lessons). After high fiving over many joint favorite films and the fact that we’re both from New York, J.D. tells me about his slasher script, which he’s all gung ho that he’ll make. I tell him if he ever gets

The Dana Carvey Show

DVD Release Date: May 12

Creators: Dana Carvey, Robert Smigel

Starring: Dana Carvey, Robert Smigel, Stephen Colbert, Steve Carrell, Bill Chott, Elon Gold

Network: ABC

One of the best TV writing staffs ever assembled mostly delivers on its promise

Not a big hit during its initial 1996 run, The Dana Carvey Show has gained a certain legendary status less for its actual episodes, which were previously difficult to see, than by the notoriety of its staff during the years that followed. Aside from Carvey himself, the show was written and acted by Steve Carrell, Stephen Colbert, Charlie Kaufman, Robert Smigel, Louis C.K., Dino Stamatopoulos, Bill Chott and Spike Ferestein. Just knowing who’s in the group, it’s easy to see why the common assumption had been that it must’ve been brilliant and cancelled for being too ahead of its time.

Jimmy Fallon, Martin Short hosting JFL galas

Jimmy Fallon, Martin Short hosting JFL galas
TORONTO -- Martin Short, Jason Alexander and Jimmy Fallon will host their own galas at the second annual Just for Laughs Toronto Festival in July, organizers said Tuesday.

Veteran American ventriloquist Jeff Dunham will also perform at Toronto's Massey Hall.

Other Just for Laughs highlights include comic showcases including the Asian Invasion, hosted by Canadian stand-up Sugar Sammy and to feature Jo Koy, and the Italian-themed Wiseguys show, headlined by the Doo-Wops, Joey Kola and Dom Irrera.

Just for Laughs COO Bruce Hills said the Toronto edition will remain tailored for a consumer market, unlike the industry-oriented Montreal run July 10-20 that attracts L.A. talent scouts and executives.

For its sophomore run, Just for Laughs Toronto will also for the first time fill local comedy clubs. The Headliners series at Yuk Yuk's will showcase Wendy Liebman, Kevin Hart, Gerry Dee, Al Madrigal, Australian comic Adam Hills, Jeff Ross and Elon Gold. The Absolute Comedy club will host a Canadian comic showcase, hosted by Debra DiGiovanni, while Second City will host "The Sketch Show", headlined by Craig Robinson.
