Mini Biography

Talented character actor who has notched up over 45 years in Hollywood, and is generally most entertaining playing villains or oily individuals. He began with numerous appearances in TV shows including "Perry Mason" (1957), "The Rat Patrol" (1966), "My Favorite Martian" (1963), "Mod Squad" (1968) and "Hawk" (1966). His performance alongside Putter Smith as two gay hit men trying to eliminate Sean Connery in the James Bond adventure Diamonds Are Forever (1971) was equally chilling and humorous, stamping "Mr Kidd" and "Mr Wint" as two favorite villains of the entire 007 series.

Glover was a redneck thug harassing well meaning teens in the drama Bless the Beasts & Children (1971), contributed another icy performance as "Duffy" in Chinatown (1974) and he was leaning on hustler James Coburn to repay his debts in 'Hard Times (1973)_ . Glover also appeared in the controversial vigilante style film Walking Tall (1973), and its lesser sequel Walking Tall Part II (1975). He remained busy through the 1980/90s with more guest spots on shows including "T.J. Hooker" (1982), "The Dukes of Hazzard" (1979), and "The A-Team" (1983). More recently, his film appearances have included Night of the Scarecrow (1995), Die Hard Dracula (1998) and Ghost World (2001).

Personal Quotes

Sometimes the best thing you could do is a real bad film... you could improvise all over the place and probably only improve the script.

That's why gurus or teachers who have found the truth are effectively dead. The artist must continue to look for a new reference. Every day, every performance, every take.

Acting is an art form. If you are not creating something that's unusual and informative and at least has the possibility of being illuminating then you are not into it as an art form.

Too often these techniques are like little religions. The 'truth' is there and you are now worshiping at the shrine with these sad little priests and priestesses who are too afraid to go out there and learn something new for themselves.

Where Are They Now
