In a 1995 episode of "The Charlie Rose Show" director Quentin Tarantino credits Gladstein with a key part in his breakthrough as a film-maker, quote: "...one of the executive producers of the movie - Richard Gladstein - who was the guy at the company, at Live Entertainment, that like said 'I'm gonna take a chance on this kid,' you know. I really owe my career to him.".
