Robert Pattinson beat Vampire Diaries Ian Somerhalder for hottest Vampire Of 2012. As previously reported, Hollywood Life ran a new contest called the "Hottest Vampire of 2012," and it involved major stars like Twilight Saga main man Robert Pattinson and Vampire Diaries front man Ian Somerhalder against a slew of other strong competitors. They included: Stephen Moyer of True Blood, Paul Wesley of Vampire Diaries,Kellan Lutz of Twilight Saga,Alexander Skarsgard of True Blood, Joseph Morgan of Vampire Diaries,Jackson Rathbone of Twilight Saga, Daniel Gillies of Vampire Diaries, and Matthew Davis of Vampire Diaries. However,on the other end of the spectrum, Vampire Diaries Nina Dobrev did beat out Twilight Saga hottie Kristen Stewart as hottest vamp chick. »
Among the many twists and turns on the The Vampire Diaries Season 4 winter finale, viewers watched as April opened Rebekah's tomb.
What will the interactions be like between brothers?
"In the beginning, Klaus and Kol start off more on the same page, but Kol definitely comes in with his own objectives and motives," Morgan says. "They do end up at odds and issuing threats at each other and it does become quite serious."
Earlier this season, in "The Five," fan favorite Daniel Gillies appeared as Elijah, as the series flashed way back to the 15th century.
There are no known plans at the moment to feature that Original again, but it sounds like Klaus will have his hands »

The Vampire Diaries flashed all the way back to the 12th century on "The Five."
And while TV Fanatic staff members Matt Richenthal, Miranda Wicker and Leigh Raines aren't delving that far into history, they are here to analyze events from last night and break down all we witnessed and learned...
What was your favorite scene from the episode?
Matt: Probably Klaus positively losing it on Rebekah after he killed Alexander. For multiple reasons: Joseph Morgan is never better than when he's angry; Claire Holt never better than when she's crying; and it was a flashback scene. Those get me every... single... time.
Miranda: Elijah Flashback!!! Ah. Sorry. Got a little carried away with myself. But, yeah, seeing Daniel Gillies on Tvd again is always great. My runner-up favorite was Klaus, Rebekah and Stefan at dinner and Stefan's wry "there's a million other people I'd rather have dinner with right now. »

Plus, Damon is seen with a face full of blood in these pics from the Nov. 1 episode! The Vampire Diaries is taking a better-late-than-never approach to Halloween this year, featuring a spooky frat party on its Nov. 1 episode, titled "The Five" — but as you can see from the photos, it's not all fun and games. Damon (Ian Somerhalder) decides to use the chaotic party as an opportunity to teach Elena (Nina Dobrev) about selecting victims to bite, and it looks he gets himself a mouthful! Meanwhile, Bonnie (Kat Graham) buddies up to a college professor who has taken over Grams' job teaching an Occult Studies class at Whitmore College. (Did no one think that was a suspicious job?) The episode also features a flashback to 12th century Italy with Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Elijah (Daniel Gillies). And you know what that means: the return of their long, flowing locks! Browse »

Damon and Elena may not be in a relationship when The Vampire Diaries returns on Oct. 11, but that doesn’t mean they won’t be sharing any intimate moments this season.
“There is some stuff that is going to come up this season that I think fans will get a little bit of joy out of,” said Ian Somerhalder, who explained that the love triangle still has a ways to go. “There is a scene Damon pushes [Elena's] buttons a little bit and kind of starts undressing in front of her that throws her for a loop. It was pretty cute. »

With just one day, four hours and 38 minutes to go until The Vampire Diaries Season 4 - not that we're counting down the minutes - The CW has released another batch of absolutely awesome promotional photos.
Featuring Daniel Gillies, Claire Holt, Kat Graham and Zach Roerig, each character gets his or her own poster for the new season. The vintage style, symbolism and overall eerie quality make for terrific promo art.
Click on each for a larger version now:
Bonnie's portrait reads "Libera nos a malo," ir "Deliver us from evil" in Latin. Rebekah's: "Osculum proditione mortiferum est" or "Betrayal's kiss is deadly." Elijah's says "Sanguis est in aeternum" or "Blood is forever."
Matt's? "Vulneria sapientia," or "wounded wisdom" ... we think. Not sure on that one.

We don't know who is in charge of promotional materials for "The Vampire Diaries" this season, but we would like him or her to stay forever.
In addition to the standard gallery shots of all the characters -- including some significant guest stars -- The CW is slowly releasing elaborate, intricate portrait cards. Zap2it has your exclusive first look at three of the pics, of Bonnie (Kat Graham), Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and Rebekah (Claire Holt).
Bonnie's blood-spattered portrait bears the inscription, "Libera nos a malo," which means "Deliver us from evil" in Latin. Rebekah's, which shows her holding a dagger to her lips, reads "Osculum proditione mortiferum est," which we means "Betrayal's kiss is deadly," and Elijah's inscription -- "Sanguis est in aeternum" means "Blood is forever."
Are you ready for the return of The Vampire Diaries? The CW thinks, or rather knows so, releasing a full blown cast photo for their highest rated show, coming at you from Mystic Falls. As you can see, it all centers around sexy Elena. Either that or legs, because there’s certainly a lot of it being flexed by Nina Dobrev, Candice Accola, and well...everyone. Only Dobrev’s, however, are guarded by the Salvatore brothers, with Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley taking up position to either side of Tvd star.
EW debuted this image, and added that Julie Plec, executive producer of The Vampire Diaries, added that she was happy that Daniel Gillies’ Elijah made the pic, and mentioned we will seem him in episode 4, and it won’t be the last time!

Elena may not be thrilled to wake up in transition when The Vampire Diaries returns on Oct. 11, but there’s at least one undead activity for her to look forward to: vampire sex.
“All the rage is this vampire sex,” said Nina Dobrev, when we caught up with her on the set a few weeks ago. “Unfortunately, I can’t tell you who Elena’s going to have it with but she definitely will have some and it’s definitely going to be hot and heavy and sexy and fun.”
Though Dobrev wouldn’t name the lucky guy, co-star Ian Somerhalder »

Take it from me: The Vampire Diaries is easily one of the most difficult shows to conduct interviews about because of the serialized nature of the story. Teasing — it’s an art. But I have to say, Daniel Gillies really held his own when he sat down on the Spoiler Room couch for a chat while in town recently promoting the Oct. 11 return of The Vampire Diaries and his film Broken Kingdom, out today.
Thanks to everyone who submitted questions for the actor. The fruits of your labors have produced the following scoop on Elijah’s return, the next flashback episode, »

You’d think it would be a bit easier. True, when actor Daniel Gillies set out to write and direct his first film, he hadn’t yet landed the role that, today, most fans know him for best, in The Vampire Diaires. But it’s not like he was a nobody. He had appeared in major hits like Spiderman 2 and Into the West. And his wife, and co-star of the film, was Rachael Leigh Cook, for goodness’ sake. »
Broken Kingdom, the writing and directorial debut of Daniel Gillies (perhaps best known form his role in The Vampire Diaries), finally gets unveiled to the world next week, along with its companion documentary Kingdom Come. After a Paste-sponsored Los Angeles premiere on October 2, both films will be available for download worldwide (you can even win an exclusive chat with Daniel and Rachael in our contest here). It’s been a long road to get to this point, but the results are worth it. »
These 16 photos from Tvd Episode 4.1, “Growing Pains,” foreshadow several story arcs coming to the forefront in the premiere.
- First we see Caroline getting close with Tyler. However, the smug look on Tyler’s face suggests that Klaus may reveal the truth to Caroline faster than we expected.
- There’s a photo of Stefan (Paul Wesley) with his trademark “Holy Shit” expression. What do you think has Stefan »

The CW has unveiled a slew of new Vampire Diaries cast photos and, no surprise here, they are anything but unattractive.
But while expected regulars such as Ian Somerhalder, Nina Dobrev and Paul Wesley are included in the set, the most interesting takeaway is that Daniel Gillies is also among the pretty faces featured below.
Does this mean we'll see Elijah on Season 4? Oh yes. He's filmed at least one episode, the actor confirms to TV Guide, flashing back to the 11th century in it and helping the series introduce "a brand new menace... and not just a menace to the beautiful boys and girls of Mystic Falls, but also to the Originals. A big threat."
Ponder that tease, bookmark our Vampire Diaries spoilers section for plenty more and click through the following pictures now:

Three years ago today, Sept. 10, 2009, The Vampire Diaries debuted on The CW. To celebrate, exec producer Julie Plec tweeted her favorite episodes (in order of airdate) Sunday night. Check out her picks here. She named 17 episodes, with season 3′s “The Reckoning” — when Klaus finally succeeds in forcing Stefan to turn off his humanity on Senior Prank Night — as possibly her all-time favorite.
Reading her list, filled with general epicness and top tissue moments (“Plan B,” “The Descent,” “Ghost World”), I was surprised that I reacted so strongly to Plec’s mention of season 2 episode “Klaus.” As Plec wrote, “ever was »
