The Originals has always been a show about family, and it was very much all about the Mikaelson family in Season 2 of the CW vampire drama, with both Esther, Mikael, Kol, and Finn returning, Freya being introduced, and the siblings’ Aunt Dahlia serving as the big bad. This past weekend, main stars of CW's hit show, The Originals, season 3, hit up the huge 2015 Comic-Con event in San Diego,California to participate in the special Q&A spoiler panel (video below). The panel featured main stars: Danielle Campbell, Joseph Morgan, Daniel Gillies, Phoebe Tonkin, Leah Pipes, Charles Michael Davis along with executive producers, Julie Plec and Michael Narducci. In the new clip, Julie and Michael, revealed that there will definitely be some new enemies arriving in New Orleans. They also confirmed that the Esther and Dahlia chapter is officially closed. Comic-Con: Warner Bros. TV Brings ‘Supergirl’ Pilot, ‘DC’s Legends of Tomorrow’ to San Diego

Warner Bros. Television is bringing a cavalcade of shows to San Diego Comic-Con in 2015, with 13 returning series and five freshman entries being featured at this year’s event, including a Saturday night lineup featuring DC Entertainment properties “Arrow,” “The Flash,” “Gotham” and upcoming series “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow,” “Supergirl” and digital series “Vixen.”

Other Comic-Con mainstays including “The Big Bang Theory,” “Supernatural,” “The Vampire Diaries” and “Person of Interest” will be on hand, in addition to premiere screenings of upcoming Wbtv series including “Blindspot,” “Containment” and “Lucifer.” Comic-Con runs from July 9-12 at the San Diego Convention Center.

With mother issues, wicked witches and leads in danger, this season has been another wild ride for CW sister dramas “The Originals” and “The Vampire Diaries.” Ahead of the shows’ finales — “The Originals” season two finale airs at 8 p.m. Monday and “The Vampire Diaries” season six finale airs at 8 p.m. Thursday — executive producer Julie Plec discusses impending character departures, family dynamics and the loss of “Vampire Diaries” star Nina Dobrev.

Both “The Originals” and “The Vampire Diaries” had major storylines involving the main characters’ moms. It’s pretty funny that both of the shows end the week after Mother’s Day.
