Maze Runner: The Death Cure to resume production in February

31 August 2016 10:00 AM, PDT | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

Having shut down production indefinitely due to the injuries suffered by star Dylan O’Brien during an on-set accident back in March, 20th Century Fox has now announced that filming on Maze Runner: The Death Cure will resume in February 2017.

The third instalment in the Ya franchise is being directed by Wes Ball, and was originally slated for release on February 17th 2017, before being pushed back a year to January 12th 2018 owing to the accident, which is said to have saw O’Brien fracturing either his cheekbone or orbital socket.

O’Brien is joined in the cast of Maze Runner: The Death Cure by Kaya Scodelario, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Dexter Darden, Nathalie Emmanuel, Giancarlo Esposito, Aidan Gillen, Jacob Lofland, Ki Hong Lee, Barry Pepper, Will Poilter, Rosa Salazar and Patricia Clarkson.

Is Sansa Stark Going to Betray Jon Snow in Game of Thrones Season 7?

9 August 2016 10:15 AM, PDT | E! Online | See recent E! Online news »

A House divided cannot stand...including House Stark! Though Jon Snow (Kit Harington) was crowned King in the North in the Game of Thrones' season seven finale, many viewers noticed a certain look between his sister Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) and Littlefinger (Aiden Gillen) that hinted Jon's reign could potentially be as short as poor Robb Stark's (Richard Madden) time as King in the North was. And now they're even more convinced, thanks to a potential spoiler released by HBO. (Warning, potential spoilers ahoy!) The network unveiled an election-themed website for Got, which includes a poll about who should end up on the Iron Throne. And the candidates sure are interesting: Daenerys Targaryen, »

Comic Con: Kong, Arthur trailers unleashed

24 July 2016 11:30 PM, PDT | The Hollywood News | See recent The Hollywood News news »

It has been a busy weekend for new movie trailers and we’re going to attempt to bring all of them to you over the next couple of hours. Let’s kick things off with a couple of trailers from the Warner Brothers panel from over the weekend, and in particular the trailers for Kong: Skull Island and Guy Ritchie’s King Arthur: Legend Of The Sword. Both films are set to hit cinemas next March.

First up, Kong: Skull Island.

Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures’ “Kong: Skull Island” reimagines the origin of the mythic Kong in a compelling, original adventure from director Jordan Vogt-Roberts.  In the film, a diverse team of explorers is brought together to venture deep into an uncharted island in the Pacific—as beautiful as it is treacherous—unaware that they’re crossing into the domain of the mythic Kong.

New Trailer for Guy Ritchie's King Arthur Re-invents the Legend

23 July 2016 4:43 PM, PDT | Cinelinx | See recent Cinelinx news »

Warner Bros. has owned Sdcc 2016 with their amazing trailer game!  The new trailer for Guy Ritchie's King Arthur: Legend of the Sword was just one more feather in their cap!  Check it out!

Guy Ritchie has taken the mysticism to a whole new level in the trailer for King Arthur: Legend of the Sword.  It's almost got a Dark Souls feel to it, in a good way.  What is interesting is that, it kind of looks like Arthur (Charlie Hunnam), inadvertantly, unlocks a barrage of magical creatures by pulling out Excalibur.

It's definitely a different take on the lore of King Arthur.  Let's learn more with the official synopsis!

When the child Arthur’s father is murdered, Vortigern (Jude Law), Arthur’s uncle, seizes the crown. Robbed of his birthright and with no idea who he truly is, Arthur comes up the hard way in the back alleys of the city. »

On the eve of tomorrow’s panel presentation, Warner Bros. has lifted the lid on the first poster for King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, Guy Ritchie’s long-gestating redo of the age-old classic that finds Charlie Hunnam in the title role.

Clutching to the legendary Excalibur sword, it’s understood Hunnam will be part of the ensemble to feature at tomorrow’s San Diego Comic-Con panel, which is expected to occupy Hall H from 11:30am Pt. Bouncing off last week’s coverage coupled with today’s poster reveal, some form of teaser trailer is all but guaranteed, when we expect to lay eyes on an Arthur that is, to put it lightly, a bit rough around the edges.

After all, Ritchie offered a similar treatment to the inimitable Sherlock Holmes some years ago, infusing the actioner with rat-a-tat editing and rousing music. King Arthur represents a different kettle of fish, »

New King Arthur: Legend of the Sword images feature Jude Law and Charlie Hunnam

Ever since its release date was pushed from this summer to next year, updates on Guy Ritchie’s action/adventure epic King Arthur: Legend of the Sword (formerly titled Knights of the Roundtable: King Arthur) have been scarce, but today, Warner Bros. (via Entertainment Weekly) has released two never-before-seen images from the film. The photos feature stars Charlie Hunnam as the titular king and Jude Law as his villainous uncle Vortigern…

The outlet describes Legend of the Sword as a blend between a high fantasy and Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels and Arthur as “dirty and beat up and rugged,” just like many of Ritchie’s characters. On Arthur, Hunnam said, “He’s a bit rough around the edges, but he’s basically a survivor. There’s definitely a harder edge than people would imagine.”

After giving us our first official look at Idris Elba in The Dark Tower earlier this morning, EW is now peeling back the curtain on Guy Ritchie’s new take on the classic King Arthur tale, which stars Charlie Hunnam in the lead role.

King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, as it’s being called, is set to be a gritty re-imagining of the story, with Hunnam playing an Arthur who’s “a little more street than his forebears,” according to the actor:

“He’s a bit rough around the edges, but he’s basically a survivor,” Hunnam says. “There’s definitely a harder edge than people would imagine.”

Combined with what we’ve heard about Ritchie’s new take being bold, it definitely sounds like this is going to be a very different and more mature King Arthur, which we’re certainly intrigued by. The first two photos, »
