In February 1949, she married gangster Johnny Stompanato, bodyguard of infamous mobster Mickey Cohen. The marriage only lasted until July that year. Stompanato later died at the hands of Lana Turner's daughter Cheryl Crane. She stabbed him to death during a violent fight between him and Turner in which Crane believed he was going to kill her mother. See more »
