'Dirty Dancing' TV Remake Brings in Katey Sagal

The cast of ABC's Dirty Dancing, a three-hour TV remake, is starting to come together, now that Abigail Breslin and Colt Prattes have been set as the two leads. Deadline reports today that Katey Sagal has signed on to join the cast, with production set to begin this week in North Carolina. The actress is playing Vivian Pressman, a role originally portrayed by Miranda Garrison in the 1987 hit movie.

Vivian Pressman is described as a "bungalow bunny," a former beauty queen who spends her free time trying to seduce the younger male workers at the Kellerman resort, such as Colt Prattes' Johnny Castle. Vivian is also said to be "fabulously wealthy" and recently divorced, who takes matters into her own hands when Johnny leaves her for Baby (Abigail Breslin).
