In a pre-Toronto Film Festival movie, Uri Singer’s Bb Film Productions has launched development of Niv Kaplan’s mystery-espionage thriller “Tracks,” Variety has learned exclusively.
The project is being repped by Cinetic at the Toronto Film Festival. Bb Film has optioned the book’s film and television rights.
“Tracks” centers on a grieving father in Israel who is searching for any traces of his kidnapped child while forming an international organization that tracks other missing children. He turns to a secret outfit for aid then discovers a scheme to use children to spread terror.
“Tracks” was ranked at the top of Amazon’s mystery, thriller and suspense categories after it was released in 2012. It became Amazon’s top seller of any Israeli book.

Bleiberg Entertainment has partnered up with Bb Film Productions to produce the upcoming thriller Predilection, directed by Marcio Garcia and written by The Birth of a Nation writer-director-star Nate Parker. Bleiberg Entertainment is handling the worldwide sales of the film and will introduce the project to buyers in Cannes.
