Sydney, Mar 8: Bilateral amputee Aimee Mullins was introduced by L'Oreal as one of its latest "I'm worth it" campaign faces at the Melbourne Fashion Festival.

The 35-year-old model, who had both her legs amputated when she was year old, joined the Australian ambassador Megan Gale at the VIP luncheon that kicked off the Fashion Festival.

"Remember, I'm hauling around an 80 pound bag of legs everywhere I go," the Sydney Morning Herald quoted her as saying.

At the event, Mullins concealed her legs in a sleek black Alexander McQueen slack suit. She was a close friend and muse for the British designer, who stunned. »

Megan Gale has denied rumours that she is taking over as the host of Australia's Next Top Model. The Australian supermodel was linked to the role after former presenter Sarah Murdoch announced that she is quitting the reality TV show, but has instead confirmed that she will be returning to front rival Foxtel show Project Runway. Gale told the Herald Sun: "I don't think it is a case of 'Who's a famous face, let's get another model in there'. Sarah Murdoch did an extraordinary job, not just as a host but as a producer. Megan Gale has said that she has given up alcohol. The 36-year-old Australian supermodel, who walked the runway at department store David Jones' autumn racing carnival fashion launch earlier this week, said that she now enjoys a "healthy" lifestyle.
