Kinji Fukasaku was born on July 3, 1930 in Mito, Japan. He was a director and writer, known for Battle Royale (2000), Tora! Tora! Tora! (1970) and Day of Resurrection (1980). He was married to Sanae Nakahara. He died on January 12, 2003 in Tokyo, Japan.
