Finally released on DVD in the UK after premiering almost three years ago at Sundance and a whopping 16 months after it’s UK premiere on Sky Movies, Skateland is set in the early 1980?s in small-town Texas and tells the story of the dramatic events that force a 19-year old skating rink manager (Fernandez) to look at his life in a new way.
One part Adventureland and one part Richard Linklater’sDazed and Confused, Skateland is yet another period-set coming of age story set in the early 80s and follows a very similar format to Linklater’s film – kids hanging out shooting the shit while contemplating their future. However unlike Linklater’s film, which had interesting characters, a great, and funny, script and a refreshing take on 70s life, »
A passionate contemporary routine on Monday night's Dancing with the Stars made viewers clear on one thing: Val Chmerkovskiy and Kelly Monaco have serious chemistry. "It's unexplainable, I don't know," Monaco, 36, told People on Tuesday, of the connection to her partner, 26. "I think each week, we get a little closer." As for Chmerkovskiy, he says he's "very attached, very protective," of the General Hospital star. "Obviously with every week, it gets more and more personal," he says. "I was raised with loyalty, honesty, camaraderie. Those are the things that I value the most. She's the person »

The film stars Lukas Haas (Brick, Inception), Kevin Durand (Lost Real Steel), Heath Freeman (Skate Land), Sabina Gadecki (Freaky Deaky, House Of Lies), Bianca Kadilch (Halloween: Resurrection, Rules Of Engagement) and Nick Damici (Stake Land, Premium Rush) »
The superbly attractive actress Sabina Gadecki (below), who you may recall as the sexy host of the fifth season of the 'World Poker Tour', is the splendid eye-candy that'll be catching my attention in the Jack Heller helmed creature feature 'Dark Was the Night'. The stunner will star alongside Kevin Durand ('Resident Evil: Retribution') who is on board to play the local towns sheriff and Lukas Haas ('Inception') who will play his deputy. Heath Freeman and Nick Damici also star in the new Caliber Media survival thriller penned by Tyler Hisel. »
Mark Feuerstein has joined Brin Hill's soon-to-shoot romantic sci-fi indie "In Your Eyes" which Joss Whedon wrote. He'll shoot his role before he returns to filming on the fourth season of "Royal Pains".
Michael Stahl-David and Zoe Kazan play two people who live on opposite sides of the country and share a powerful connection, as they can see and hear each other despite having never met. Feuerstein will co-star as Kazan's cold, controlling husband. [Source: Variety]
The story follows three thirty-something friends who band together when their freeloading existence is threatened. Palicki will play Becca, a coffee-loving nurse who Howerton’s character has a crush on. Ben Schwartz, Steve Little and Josh Groban co-star. [Source: Variety]

Only the noble sheriff and his dedicated deputy are fit to face down this mysterious monster and save the townsfolk from annihilation. With production on the film set to begin this Sunday, THR reveals that Kevin Durand and Lukas Haas have signed on to star in Dark Was The Night, joining a cast that includes Sabina Gadecki of the upcoming crime-thriller Freaky Deaky, Heath Freeman, the bright spot of the smug drama Skateland, and Nick Damici of the vampire horror flick Stake Land.
