He acted in Luigi Pirandello's play, "The Rules of the Game," at the Almeida Theatre in London, England with Nicola Pagett, David Yelland, Richard Griffiths, Janet Henfrey, John Normington, John Cater, and Robert Demeger in the cast. Jonathan Kent was director.

(2008)] I think Franklin is a bit of a troubled soul. I'm not sure that he's entirely well in the head but he also is up for the ride. He likes to go wherever the most dangerous energy is. Basically I'm a private detective which sounds ridiculous. Franklin Mott, Private Eye. Kind of like Magnum but without the mustache.
Has often been cast in roles in projects pertaining to the Tudor period of English history. He appeared in the 1998 film "Elizabeth" as Alvaro de Quadra and then played Thomas Cromwell in the Showtime series "The Tudors". He was later cast as the Earl of Warwick in the BBC's "The White Queen" (about Elizabeth Woodville who was the grandmother of Henry VIII and great-grandmother to Elizabeth I).
