Robert Foxworth was born on November 1, 1941 in Houston, Texas, USA as Robert Heath Foxworth. He is an actor and director, known for Falcon Crest (1981), Syriana (2005) and Damien: Omen II (1978). He has been married to Stacey Thomas since August 2, 1998. He was previously married to Elizabeth Montgomery and Marilyn McCormick.

Has guest-starred as characters involved in military coups on at least four different science fiction series. In Babylon 5 (1994) he was a loyalist general fighting against a coup on Earth. On Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (1993) he was an admiral who attempted to seize control of Starfleet. On Stargate SG-1 (1997) he was a political leader who nearly fell victim to a coup against him. On Star Trek: Enterprise (2001) he played the leader of the Vulcan High Council who attempted to instigate a war between the Vulcans and the Andorians.
The Houston native started his acting career out as a young teen apprentice at Houston's Alley Theatre.
Studied at both Carnegie Tech and Stanford University.
Spent three seasons in the mid-to-late 1960s at Washington, DC's Arena Theatre before making his Broadway debut in a 1969 production of "Henry V".

His character on Babylon 5 (1994), General Hague, was killed off off-screen due to Foxworth's agent double-booking him for appearances on that show and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (1993) in the same week. DS9 paid more, so that's the one he took.
Unhappily left his role on Falcon Crest (1981) at the end of the sixth season. He had wanted to comeback from a year's sabbatical, but the producers could not work out a deal and Foxworth never returned as earlier planned.
Best known by the public for his role as Chase Gioberti on Falcon Crest (1981).

In his younger years bore a striking resemblance to Robert Reed.
