In an effort expand its base and bulk up worldwide, Vin Di Bona Prods. has tapped Daniel Lux to oversee plans to grow the company's development across a variety of formats.
Lux, who had been focused primarily on movie development, has been named vp development and will report directly to Vin Di Bona. The longtime friends worked together in the late 1990s, collaborating on "Trump Unauthorized" and "Chicken Soup for the Soul". In this new venture, they hope to transcend traditional programming and broaden the company to include digital platforms.
In addition to recruiting Lux, Di Bona upped Jeff Foster, previously manager of development since 2005, to director of development. Before joining Vin Di Bona, Foster worked with such clients as Larry King and Ryan Seacrest in the television department at WMA.
"As a whole, I think that invigorating the development department with our new group ... continues to make our company distinctive," Di Bona said. "With Dan and Jeff on board, I am sure we will take the company in the direction that makes us more than just competitive but even more creative and unique."...
