If you’re in striking distance of Colchester, Essex next Saturday, 7th September, then you really need to get yourself into Britain’s oldest recorded town to witness the 2013 Invasion!

From a squadron of Colonial Marines (from Aliens) to the Ghostbusters, from slasher king Jason Vorhees to dragon queen Daenerys Stormborn from Game of Thrones, there will be plenty of photo opportunities for fans, providing they can run the gauntlet of Imperial Stormtroopers and other denizens of the Star Wars universe.

As well as the characters, there are special guests in the form of Alan Flyng, Ralph Morse, Pam Rose and Nick Joseph, all

It's a great idea that we hope does well - and inspires similar events elsewhere in the UK and abroad.

Rocketmen: The Webseries

A comedy web series about the boredom of being a rocket-powered crime fighter rather than the exhilaration, Webster Crowell's Rocketmen looks like a quirky treat.
