Mini Biography

Jaqueline Fleming, affectionately known as "Jaq," was born in Copenhagen, Denmark to an African American father and a Danish-German mother. She was raised between New York, St. Louis, and Chicago. By the time she was 3-years-old, her family knew she was attracted to the arts and helped cultivate that interest by enrolling her in everything from dance class to acting class. After high school, she went on to graduate from Columbia Film School in Chicago.

Straight out of Columbia, she hit the theatre scene and performed across the country doing theatre. Jaqueline made her transition into film and TV when she made her move to Hollywood in 1997. While in Hollywood, Jaqueline took up writing and directing classes and shadowed producers.

Jaqueline continues to pursue her passion for acting and has become a mentor to kids and teens in Louisiana, where she has a home. Jaqueline is the founder and owner of an acting studio in New Orleans, Jaq's Acting Studio, where she has been instrumental in helping aspiring actors become working actors. Jaqueline doesn't want to stop there, so in the summer of 2011, she formed a production company and is excited about the next phase of her career not only as an actress and entrepreneur but also as a producer.

Jaqueline's credits include "Love Jones," opposite Larenz Tate; "Just My Luck," opposite Chris Pine; "The Ledge," opposite Terrence Howard; "Contraband," opposite Mark Whalberg; TD Jakes' "Woman Thou art Loosed: On the Seventh Day," opposite Blair Underwood and Tim Burton's "Abraham Lincoln:Vampire Hunter," opposite Benjamin Walker and Anthony Mackie.
