As I prep my list of upcoming actresses that could become the next Julia Roberts in response to my query earlier this week asking Who is the Next Will Smith? one of the names certainly on the list is Isla Fisher and today we receive the first look at the poster for her new film Confessions of a Shopaholic as well as seven new images which can be found in the gallery here. In Confessions of a Shopaholic Fisher stars as Rebecca Bloomwood who is hopelessly addicted to shopping and drowning in a sea of debt. While Rebecca has dreams of working for a top fashion magazine, she can't quite get her foot in the door - that is, until she snags a job as an advice columnist for a new financial magazine published by the same company. Overnight, her column becomes hugely popular, turning her into an overnight celebrity. »

Isla Fisher was a vision in ruffles last night at the Cristophe salon benefit to support the Amazon Watch in La. She's continuing to smile big, support good causes, and play with Olive while, stop me if you've heard this one before, Sacha Baron Cohen causes a ruckus overseas. This time he hit Paris Fashion Week sitting second row at the Stella McCartney show, nudging front rowers out of the way to get a better look, showing off his red thong, and publicly expressing his likes and dislikes in the line. At least this time it sounds like he may have been invited by the designer herself. I wonder if even Isla knows what he's going to be up to next or if she waits to read about his latest stunt in the headlines like the rest of us. Startraks Photo »
Isla Fisher looked adorable in her plaid soaking in the La sun yesterday with Olive — just another day together while Sacha Baron Cohen makes trouble overseas. Isla and Olive have had some fun girl time recently playing with friends and shopping around town, though despite her upcoming movie Isla says the latter isn't her strong point. She said, "I shop rarely and rather poorly. . .Whenever I do purchase something, I instantly regret it. I don't enjoy the process." While we've all felt a little buyer's remorse at one time or another, Isla's career is going so well these days she deserves to indulge — plus being so adorable she probably looks fantastic in everything. Few expected uber-producer Jerry Bruckheimer to follow-up Pirates Of The Caribbean and National Treasure with an adaptation of a popular chick-lit novel, but the Bruck doesn't care what you expect. The Bruck is producing Confessions Of A Shopaholic, the upcoming Disney comedy starring Isla Fisher (Wedding Crashers) as a young girl so addicted to shopping, she's cornered herself deep into debt. Today the new trailer for the film is online as well as new stills as USA Today. While it may »

Disney has just premiered the official trailer for Confessions of a Shopaholic starring Isla Fisher. This is every girls dream movie, and every girl's dream story. Fisher plays Rebecca Bloomwood, a shopping obsessed college grad who lands a job as a financial journalist. It's nothing more than the typical female story of life, love, and shopping, and should be a fun little flick. I think everyone is expecting this (or Bride Wars) to be the "next" Devil Wears Prada, but I really don't think Fisher has the chops to pull it off - she's no Anne Hathaway. Anyway, if you want to see Isla Fisher dance around in funky clothes, check it out. Isla Fisher and Olive spent some more quality time together in LA yesterday while their third family member was making trouble overseas. Sacha has been working on his upcoming Bruno movie, and yesterday he managed to make it onto one of the runways during Milan Fashion Week, dressed in a ridiculous many-layered ensemble that resembles another fashion beast we know and love. He was quickly escorted away by the police — check out the video after the jump — but it sounds like Sacha is scoring some memorable footage for the upcoming project. Let's just hope he makes it back to his beautiful girls in one piece. To see Sacha trying to walk the runway in his ridiculous getup, just read more. NPG and Source »

The fairly adorable Isla Fisher may have already won some hearts in this past February's Definitely, Maybe, but now she's developed a taste for the Prada lifestyle in next February's Confessions of a Shopholic, the trailer for which we've embedded above (sorry that it's slightly squeezed).
I'm a little less sure what the name of producer Jerry Bruckheimer is doing on this next big chick-lit adaptation -- which looks like The Devil Wears Prada infused with Legally Blonde and some ungainly slapstick -- though the man did make some modest bucks off of Coyote Ugly back in the summer of '00. Though next winter seems slight in terms of fluffy rom-com-petition, this puppy will be facing off against the considerable star power of He's Just Not That Into You for Valentine's Day box office glory.
However, with any luck, this role could »

I'll go ahead and say it: Isla Fisher deserves better. The fiesty and funny redhead (who done birthed out a baby Borat not long ago) stole a good portion of Wedding Crashers and was surprisingly effective in a dramatic turn in The Lookout and as a romantic co-lead in the underappreciated Definitely, Maybe.
I obviously understand why she'd want to star in Confessions of a Shopaholic (although I'm sick to death of movies with "Confessions" in their title and movies that that take place at a magazine), but she's a lot better than this pratfall-heavy stuff.
The biggest surprise in this trailer is the name Jerry Bruckheimer. Where's the disaster in this movie, exactly? Is Isla going to sternly announce, "Let's get the hell outta here!" as we head into the third act?
Listen to Islah Fisher's confessions - or just watch the movie - on Valentine's Day weekend. Thanks »

The first trailer for Confessions of a Shopaholic is here, and I have a question. Several questions actually. First, what.s this movie about again? It stars Isla Fisher as a woman with a shopping problem, I know that, but what it is really about? What.s the plot? What.s the story? Why is this interesting? I.ve watched the entire trailer twice now, and I have no idea. Second, why is it that fashion obsessed women are such terrible dressers? Take Carrie Bradshaw from Sex and the City for instance. This is a woman who walks the streets of New York with a flower three times the size of her head, pinned to the shoulder of her dress. Yet she.s a fashion icon. Now we have Isla Fisher, playing some sort of shopaholic fashionista, wearing garish, gaudy outfits that look like the sort of thing you might »
Hawaiian holidaymakers were treated to a boating bonanza off the coast of the state's Big Island last week when a yacht packed with stars sailed past.
But the all-star sighting wasn't all that rare - according to sources, the group holidays in Hawaii together annually.

The actress was driving a white BMW outside the Waikoloa Hilton on Saturday afternoon when she collided with a truck.
It is unknown whether Cox was alone in her car, but local police have confirmed neither party was injured during the incident.
Are you ready for the list of celebrities vacationing together in Hawaii? There's Courteney Cox, David Arquette, and Coco; Tobey Maguire, Jennifer Meyer, and Ruby; Isla Fisher, Sacha Baron Cohen, and Olive; Leonardo DiCaprio, Lukas Haas, and a whole bunch more buddies. Phew. The A-List group of friends were all out on a boating, snorkeling, paddling trip together at the end of last week, and there's just too many treats to even describe in these photos. From Leo playing with little Olive to Isla not being quite as adept on the surfboard as Courteney and her hot bikini body. How goofy does Leo look? We got to see a little of the Cox-Arquettes solo in Hawaii as well as Isla, Sacha, and Olive playing around, but it's so much more fun to see the whole crew together! What a great way to celebrate the end of Summer. Splash News Online »

Anna Faris may finally be getting her due. After years of fearless and sparkling work in lowbrow spoofs and indie doodles, she's starring in and executive producing a big Hollywood comedy, "The House Bunny." Whether it's worthy of her talents is yet to be seen, but it definitely heralds a new stage in her circuitous career, one in which she can start calling her own shots. If given the chance, she's capable of out-dumbing Judy Holliday and out-ditzing Carole Lombard, or at least give them a run for their heiress money.
With the Apatow boys dominating the comedy circuit, there's been little room for feisty female comediennes. Apatow's art is based on absurdist riffs on macho man-children, the women serving as sullen straight gals. There are some exceptions, of course (Kathryn Hahn's sex-starved wife in "Step Brothers," Molly Shannon's boozehound in "Talledega Nights"), but »
