Gerry Fisher was born on June 23, 1926 in London, England as Gerald Fisher. He is known for his work on Highlander (1986), The Exorcist III (1990) and Victory (1981). He was married to Jean Hawkins. He died on December 2, 2014 in Reading, Berkshire, England.

Noted for his sartorial elegance in attire.
Began his career working for Kodak and De Havilland Aircraft Corporation. After subsequent wartime service in the Royal Navy, he was employed in 1946 at Alliance Riverside Studios, Twickenham, as a clapper boy. From there, he graduated to camera assistant at Wessex Films and then worked as focus puller at Shepperton Studios for another six years. He became a camera operator in 1957.
Frequently collaborated with the director Joseph Losey.
Was a member of the British Society of Cinematographers and the Guild of British Camera Technicians. In 1997, he was made a Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres.
Retired in 1998.
