Cedric The Entertainer Hosts 18th Annual Emmys Golf Classic Benefiting Television Academy Foundation

The Television Academy Foundation raised a record breaking $330,000 at the star-studded 18th Annual Emmys Golf Classic on October 30.

Funds raised at the event, co-sponsored by Staples Center Premium Seating, will support the Foundation’s renowned educational programs.

Television stars, entertainment industry executives, Television Academy leadership and corporate partners competed in the day-long golf tournament at the Wilshire Country Club in Los Angeles.

Chicago – On September 9th, 2017, it seemed like the whole of The Second City theater on Wells Street in Chicago let out a collective cry of “Norm!” The favorite barfly of TV’s “Cheers,” George Wendt, came back to his old comedy stomping ground at The Second City to participate in “I Can’t Believe They Wendt There: The Roast of George Wendt.”

The roasters included the hottest current TV and movie stars, including Bob Odenkirk (“Better Call Saul”), Keegan-Michael Key (“Key & Peele”) and Jason Sudeikis (“Saturday Night Live”), along with The Second City alumni and celebs Julia Sweeney, Betty Thomas and Joel Murray. The roast was a benefit for Gilda’s Club Chicago, the cancer support community named for the late comic legend, Gilda Radner.

Interview: ‘Joel Murray & Friends’ at the New iO Chicago Venue

Chicago – iO Chicago continues the Grand Opening at its new venue with one of its most famous alumni – the illustrious Joel Murray. Besides opening the seventh season of “Mad Men” with a brilliant monologue as Freddy Rumsen, Murray brings his “Joel Murray & Friends” show to the new iO Chicago on August 30th.

Murray is the youngest of the famous “Murrays of Wilmette, Illinois,” which includes brothers Brian-Doyle, Bill and John, plus sister Nancy. He is also one of the earliest members of the former Improv Olympics – now called iO – which grew from its modest beginnings in Chicago with founders Del Close and Charna Halpern to their latest multi-theater venue on Kingsbury Street. Marvin Marvin: Cancelled, No Season Two for Nickelodeon Series

Looks like Marvin is headed back to space earlier than expected. It seems that the Marvin Marvin TV show has been cancelled after one season on Nickelodeon.

Marvin Marvin follows the adventures of a super-powered teenage alien (Lucas Cruikshank) who was sent to Earth by his parents for protection. Others in the cast include Pat Finn, Mim Drew, Victory Van Tuyl, Jacob Bertrand, Casey Sander, and Camille Spirlin.

Last night, Cruikshank tweeted, "I've been a Nickelodeon boy for years and today it came to an end. So excited for new beginnings. Love you all!"

Earlier yesterday, the actor told fans that he was shooting a special video for them and would post it sometime today.
