He has collaborated with numerous Oscar, BAFTA and Golden Globe winners and nominees, including Maria Bello and Michael Sheen (BEAUTIFUL BOY); Melissa Leo and Brendan Gleeson (BLACK IRISH); Willem Dafoe (TOMORROW YOU’RE GONE); and Chazz Palminteri (YONKERS JOE). His recent releases include 96 MINUTES (Brittany Snow); BROTHERHOOD (Trevor Morgan), which won the Audience Award at SxSW 2010; and DARE (Emmy Rossum) which premiered in Competition at Sundance 2009.

His cinematography has been described as “gorgeously textured” (NPR on BEAUTIFUL BOY); and “imaginative” (The Hollywood Reporter on DARE); and Variety named him one of 2011’s “talented artisans rising up the ranks.” Among his awards, he received the ASC-sponsored Abe Schrager Cinematography Award from the Domani Vision Film Society for LEAVE; the Best Cinematography Award from the Hamptons Film Festival for FIGHTING TOMMY RILEY; and a Heritage Award Commendation from the American Society of Cinematographers for ISSAQUENA.

Based in Los Angeles, Fimognari is a member of the International Cinematographers Guild and is represented at WME by Jasan Pagni, Devin Mann and Holly Jeter (features); and Shari Shankewitz and Stacey Karp (commercials). Beautiful Boy -- A married couple on the verge of separation are leveled by the news their 18-year-old son committed a mass shooting at his college, then took his own life. Brotherhood -- Adam Buckley finds himself in the middle of a convenience store robbery during his last night as a pledge for a college fraternity. When the initiation ritual goes horribly wrong, and every move proves disastrous, Adam is forced to confront a new challenge all together, and he has to take a stand.
