William Castle & Hammer DVD Collections Announced, The Incredible Two-headed Transplant Coming to Blu-ray

Hammer horror fans are in for a treat, as respective collections of five William Castle films and five Hammer horror movies are coming out on Blu-ray in August, and The Incredible Two-Headed Transplant has been set to come out on Blu-ray.

The William Castle and Hammer horror collections will respectively come out on DVD August 18th from Mill Creek. The Incredible Two-Headed Transplant, meanwhile, is slated for release later this year by Kino Lorber. Stay tuned to Daily Dead for further updates.

It has been widely agreed that New York film-maker Josephine Decker has “got something”. The New Yorker described her as “the most original independent film-maker to surface in the past few years”, and her first two features, Butter On The Latch and Thou Wast Mild And Lovely are both sensual, impressionistic, elliptical stories, teetering on the edge of strangeness. These films are probably too experimental for mainstream distribution: as an alternative, Decker is touring them as a double bill in seven UK cities this month, and holding Q&As after each event.

ITV3 to celebrate Carry On movies with new documentary series

ITV3 has announced that it will celebrate the Carry On films with a new documentary series.

The channel will air three-part documentary Carry On Forever across Easter Bank Holiday weekend, with some of the best-loved Carry On films also being aired back to back.

Martin Clunes will narrate the documentary, which features interviews with stars Kenneth Williams, Sid James, Charles Hawtrey, Joan Sims and Barbara Windsor.

Carry On Forever will also feature never-before-seen footage from behind the scenes of the movies. The cast will reunite as well in some of the film series's most iconic locations.

Amanda Barrie, Liz Fraser, Bernard Cribbins, Juliet Mills, Sally Geeson, June Whitfield, Shirley Eaton, Fenella Fielding and Jim Dale will also feature in the three-part series.
