Wayne Farris was born on January 24, 1953 in Memphis, Tennessee, USA as Roy Wayne Farris. He is an actor, known for Midnight Massacre (2016), WCW World Championship Wrestling (1985) and WWF Championship Wrestling (1972). He has been married to Tammy P. Farris since 1984. They have two children. He was previously married to Judy Lynn Nuckolls.

Holds the all-time record for the longest single reign as WWF Intercontinental Champion. He was champ for approximately 14 months, 27 days.

Unlike other former WWF/WWE wrestlers, Farris owns the Honky Tonk Man gimmick/persona outright, whereas countless wrestlers (Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake, Billy Gunn, Chyna among others) have had to take on other gimmicks when performing outside of the WWF/WWE.
'Honky Tonk' has rarely been seen without his guitar throughout his wrestling career, and to this day still uses it to attack other wrestlers. Ironically, in real life, he doesn't know how to play a single note on it, which has long been a running-joke among wrestling fans.
