Was actress/manager at Rio de Janeiro's huge Phoenix Theatre in a season of Brazilian, foreign, classical and modern plays when the people making Derek N. Twist's The End of the River (1947) came to town and decided she would be perfect for the female lead role (Teresa).
Daughter of actor Procópio Ferreira and actress 'Aída Izquierdo Ferreira'. Mother of Tina Ferreira.
Besides Portuguese is fluent in French, Italian, English, Spanish and German.
Plays piano & guitar, anything from Brazilian sambas and Caribbean rumbas to classical concertos and has a lovely singing voice.
Was a ballerina in the Brazillian Opera House in Rio. At age 19 she joined her father's theater company at the Teatro Serrado, Rio.

(April 2004) Directing play "Qualquer gato vira-lata tem uma vida sexual mais sadia que a nossa" in São Paulo.
