'Eureka' co-executive producer Amy Berg on 'Worst Case Scenario' and writing for Felicia Day

23 May 2012 9:00 PM, PDT | Zap2It - From Inside the Box | See recent Zap2It - From Inside the Box news »

"Eureka" fans have been very vocal about their love for the show and especially Season 5. In "Worst Cast Scenario," we find out that Holly (Felicia Day) is alive. Sort of. Her consciousness is still in the matrix, but her body is dead.

Co-executive producer and writer Amy Berg stopped by AfterBuzz TV to chat with myself and Jennings Roth Cornet about the show. She talks about creating Holly and finding her voice, what's coming up in the Jo (Erica Cerra)/Carter (Colin Ferguson)/Allison (Salli Richardson-Whitfield) triangle and how Fargo (Neil Grayston) will come to terms with the hand he's been dealt. She also breaks the news that she's no longer with "Person of Interest."

Check out the video below and let us know what you think. Are you loving the season so far? Are you Team Allison or Team Jo? "Eureka" airs Monday nights on Syfy.

Eureka, Ep. 5.06: “Worst Case Scenario” puts one of its stars in the director’s chair

23 May 2012 6:37 PM, PDT | SoundOnSight | See recent SoundOnSight news »

Eureka Review, Season 5, Episode 6, “Worst Case Scenario”

Written by Jill Blotevogel

Directed by Salli Richardson-Whitfield

Airs Mondays at 9pm Et on SyFy

Salli Richardson-Whitfield (Allison) sits in the director’s chair for the first second time and doesn’t miss a beat.  She has been with the show since the beginning, so it’s safe to say she understands how things work around there and her familiarity is apparent. Despite “Worst Case Scenario” being predictable and formulaic, by Eureka’s standards, Richardson-Whitfield is able to bring it to life in a way that would suggest she’s been directing Eureka all along.

While running a disaster simulation, the computer in charge decides to set off a series of real events that Sheriff Carter and the rest of the crew must stop before the town is destroyed.  Of course everything works out and the town is saved; no major twists or »

'Eureka' star Colin Ferguson chats with Stan Lee on 'Cocktails With Stan'

18 May 2012 3:32 PM, PDT | Zap2It - From Inside the Box | See recent Zap2It - From Inside the Box news »

"Eureka" is having it's strongest season ever and fans are still heartbroken that this is the last one. Star Colin Ferguson is blowing everyone away with his portrayal of Carter, the fish-out-of-water sheriff who's so much a part of Eureka that the town couldn't survive without him.

Ferguson stopped by Stan Lee's new weekly web series "Cocktails With Stan" on the YouTube channel "World of Heroes." The two talked about the show, how you keep the science and physics believable in comics and science fiction and what they both geek out over.

Check out the video below and let us know what you think. Don't miss Stan comparing Superman and Thor, and their flying methods. "Cocktails With Stan" airs every Friday on "World of Heroes." "Eureka" airs Monday nights on Syfy.

'Eureka' creator Jaime Paglia on 'Jack of All Trades' and what he's doing next

16 May 2012 5:27 PM, PDT | Zap2It - From Inside the Box | See recent Zap2It - From Inside the Box news »

"Eureka" co-creator Jaime Paglia joined the AfterBuzz TV weekly wrap up show to chat about the season so far, episode 5 "Jack of All Trades" and what he's working on next.

Paglia talks about directing the actors in this body switching episode and goes in depth into the relationship between Carter (Colin Ferguson) and Jo (Erica Cerra). It's been a long time coming and Paglia explains how deep the repercussions go. He also gives us some juicy tidbits about what's coming in the rest of the season.

Check out the video with myself, Jennings Roth Cornet and Paglia and let us know what you think. Are you loving the season so far? How do you feel about Jo and Carter? Spill your thoughts below and chat with us all on Twitter. Thanks to Jaime for joining us on the show.

Eureka Ep. 5.05: “Jack of All Trades” provides many different emotional beats

Eureka Review, Season 5, Episodwe 5, “Jack of All Trades

Written by Jaime Paglia and Eric Wallace

Directed by Jaime Paglia

Airs Mondays at 9pm Et on SyFy

This week’s Eureka provides laughs, body swapping, an emotional confession, a dark moment, a potential character departure and a marriage proposal.  That’s a lot of ups and downs for one episode, but “Jack of All Trades” reaches these extremes with ease.

Residual effects from the Matrix are still occurring as Jack’s conscience first swaps bodies with Fargo, then Zane, and finally Allison.  It appears that since Jack was the only one connected to the Matrix wirelessly, his brain is acting as a sort of WiFi hotspot.  The swaps occur randomly and make for some mostly hilarious situations.

Some of the actors, particularly Colin Ferguson (Jack), Erica Cerra (Jo), Kavan Smith (Andy), and Joe Morton (Henry) find themselves playing outside of character »

'Eureka' 'Worst Case Scenario': Carter gets that sinking feeling

15 May 2012 1:37 PM, PDT | Zap2It - From Inside the Box | See recent Zap2It - From Inside the Box news »

In "Eureka" "Jack of All Trades," Carter (Colin Ferguson) switched bodies with a number of people. One of the funniest episodes in the show so far. In "Worst Case Scenario," Carter is called to check out a communications tower, which is strangely shorter than it should be.

As his vehicle (that poor thing) gets sucked into the ground and he starts doing the same, Carter realizes that something is wrong in Eureka again. Check out the sneak peek below and let us know what you think.

In addition, here are a few bonus clips from "Jack of All Trades." We want to know what you think. Is the Carter/Jo (Erica Cerra) dynamic going to spell more trouble for Allison (Salli Richardson-Whitfield)? Spill your thoughts below.

Breaking News: Syfy Announces Summer Schedule, Including Series Finale of Eureka

15 May 2012 12:30 PM, PDT | ScifiMafia | See recent ScifiMafia news »

The seemingly endless wait for the Syfy summer schedule is finally over! There is good news and bad, and one thing that is both good and bad. Let’s start with that: the Eureka Season Finale. We love Eureka, so every episode is good news; the fact that it’s a series finale, not so much. Mark your calendars – and have plenty of Kleenex in stock – for July 16 at 9/8c. Right after Comic-Con, which is early this year. We’ll see if that means a panel or not.

The good news: Warehouse 13 and Alphas return on July 23. The hmmm news is that Lost Girl will move to Fridays at 10 on July 20. Hey That’S Haven’S Spot. So Where The Heck Is Haven? Admittedly we had a head’s up that Haven would be pushed to fall when we learned that the DVDs for Season 2 weren’t being released until September but Argh. »

Eureka Review: I Am Jack's Consciousness

14 May 2012 11:39 PM, PDT | TVfanatic | See recent TVfanatic news »

It’s good to see things getting back to normal in Eureka. From random meat exploding to Martha going crazy and Jack swapping bodies with random people, it seems like another typical day in "Jack of All Trades."

We call all agree that no matter how quiet things are, the moment Warren Hughes crosses into Eureka’s city limits, it’s all going to start going horribly wrong. Okay, that’s not fair, it’s not Warren’s fault. Things go sideways regardless of his visits. It’s just funnier when he visits!

Of course, the big shocker was Jack proposing to Allison and her accepting! We also had the tiny glimmer of hope that Holly’s consciousness might still be in the Matrix. I wish they had made a little bigger deal about Fargo’s decision to turn off the Matrix and risk losing the information. For such a tough choice, »

Morning Meme: Russell Tovey Gets Dirty, Mark Consuelos Used To Be a Stripper, and Tyson Beckford Doesn't Care About That Sex Tape

14 May 2012 4:42 AM, PDT | AfterElton.com | See recent AfterElton.com news »

Well, this could be different. While Fox won't announce their fall schedule until about the time you're reading this, rumor is that they'll be moving Glee to Thursdays to make Tuesday all sitcoms, and giving Glee an American Idol lead-in for at least part of the year.

The Avengers racked up over $100 million this weekend, which has never been done before by a film on its second weekend. That puts the gross globally over the billion dollar mark. The poorly reviewed Dark Shadows was a bust, at least for a Tim Burton/Johnny Depp collaboration, bring in a mere $29 million.

Bob Greenblatt made some risky moves with his schedule over at NBC, but he does seem to have a plan, launching shows like Revolution (looks fascinating) after The Voice on Mondays, and giving Ryan Murphy's The New Normal the Tuesday post-The Voice launch, which hopefully makes it a hit. »

'Eureka' 'Friendly Fire': Grant Imahara from 'Mythbusters' joins the discussion

9 May 2012 4:48 PM, PDT | Zap2It - From Inside the Box | See recent Zap2It - From Inside the Box news »

"Eureka" Season 5 has been going so well, it's likely that network executives are second guessing their decision to make this the final season. Episode 4, "Friendly Fire" is no different. Not only are we dealing with the science mishaps of the week, but there are the consequences to the Astraeus crew being in the matrix and everyone's grief over Holli's (Felicia Day) death.

In the past two weeks, we've had stars Colin Ferguson and Neil Grayston who play Carter and Fargo on the Afterbuzz TV wrap up show. This week, Grant Imahara from "Mythbusters" joined the discussion about the science of the show, how the group is going to get through this change and how nice it is to see a show stick with the changes they made in a timeline without saying it was all a dream.

Check out myself, Jennings Roth Cornet and Grant Imahara in the video below »

"Eureka" Season 5, episode 4 "Friendly Fire" dealt with the Astraeus crew coming to terms with the memories they have of the time in the virtual world. In the upcoming "Jack of All Trades," we find Carter (Colin Ferguson) with all different personalities in his head.

In the preview, we see a very different side of Carter as he pulls over a women who was speeding. Ferguson told Zap2it about this episode when he appeared on AfterBuzz TV. This one is going to be a fantastic use of Ferguson's comedy chops.

'Supernatural' Sneak Peek & Star Misha Collins Talks Castiel

4 May 2012 5:35 AM, PDT | Huffington Post | See recent Huffington Post news »

The CW's "Supernatural" (Fridays at 9 p.m. Et) seems to pride itself on putting its characters through the wringer. Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) have both been to hell and back, literally, while their angelic sidekick, Castiel (Misha Collins), has been exploded multiple times, fallen victim to Leviathan possession and is currently suffering from Lucifer-centric hallucinations ... Needless to say, they're all long overdue for a vacation.

The May 4 episode -- "Reading Is Fundamental," written and directed by genre favorite Ben Edlund -- sees Castiel awaken from his catatonic state not a moment too soon; a new prophet has been activated, and there are archangels on his tail, leaving him in desperate need of some divine intervention. HuffPost TV has an exclusive sneak peek at the episode below and last week, we caught up with Misha Collins to find out what's coming up for the ever-evolving Castiel, including his relationships with Dean, »

Eureka Ep. #5.03 – “Force Quit” concludes a three-part story arc

Eureka, Season 5, Episode 3, “Force Quit”

Written by Terri Hughes Burton and Ron Milbauer

Directed by Mike Rohl

Airs Mondays at 9pm Et on SyFy

The three-part arc that has found the Astraeus crew trapped in a virtual world comes to a predictable conclusion this week as the crew is rescued.  Though the impending results are obvious, “Force Quit” is still an exciting episode that moves at a rigorous pace.

Beverly comes to Eureka to help Carter, Henry, and Lupo find the captives.  Carter taps into the Matrix where he must cause a system overload that would help Henry and Lupo trace the signal and find the crew.  Inside the Matrix, Carter convinces Zane, Allison, Grace, and Fargo that he is the real Carter and they are trapped in a virtual world.  They work together to blow up the virtual Astraeus, causing a spike in the Matrix that crashes the system. »

Eureka Review: Jack'ed In

30 April 2012 7:00 PM, PDT | TVfanatic | See recent TVfanatic news »

I, like many TV Fanatics, wondered how long the crew of the Astraeus would be trapped in the virtual world created by Beverly Barlow.

Fortunately, "Force Quit" answered that question for all of us, as Beverly Barlow helped get Jack into the virtual construct to help save everyone.

I have to hand it to Jamie Paglia and his team. Using a single episode for each of the three “acts” of the virtual reality story was quite brilliant. Also, I’m glad that our final season will not be a constant struggle to find the crew or watch the crew try to escape the virtual world. I can watch The Matrix any time I want, thank you.

That aside, watching Jack in the virtual world offered some classic moments for Colin Ferguson.

Is anyone else totally heartbroken for Fargo and the loss of Holly? I knew her death last week would »

HiJack? – with Zane, who has reason to be suspicious:

'Eureka' Set The Pace For Syfy's Future

29 April 2012 11:18 PM, PDT | AirlockAlpha.com | See recent Airlock Alpha news »

Mondays are bittersweet right now for fans of the popular Syfy show "Eureka." They're getting new episodes, with twists and turns typical of "Eureka." But at the same time, these fans know that with every new episode, they are one step closer to the end of the series. "Eureka" was the show that helped redefine a lot of the scripted entertainment on Syfy, even before it was "Syfy," and set the tone for the future. Grounded series like "Warehouse 13," "Alphas" and "Sanctuary," took the place of expensive space operas, and was able to better connect with viewers, translating to higher ratings and more attention from mainstream veers, not just genre ones. How much of an impact did "Eureka" have on science-fiction as a whole? "Eureka" star Colin Ferguson told Airlock Alpha that while »
