He acted in William Inge's play, "Bus Stop," at the Phoenix Theatre in London, England with Keir Dullea, Lee Remick, Alfred Marks, and Miriam Karlin OBE in the cast. Vivian Matalon was director.

Married twice. He had two daughters, Chrissie and Susannah, from his first marriage, and two daughters, Samantha and Georgina, from his second. He met his second wife, Miranda, a dancer/choreographer, in London while performing in a 1969 production of "Promises, Promises" (she was a lead dancer). She survives him.
