Daniel Farrands was born on September 3, 1969 in Providence, Rhode Island, USA. He is a producer and writer, known for Amityville: The Awakening (2017), The Haunting in Connecticut (2009) and Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers (1995).

Graduated from Santa Rosa High School in 1987.
In 2013, Farrands was also developing a TV series entitled "Crystal Lake Chronicles" as a follow-up to his seven-hour-long documentary film Crystal Lake Memories: The Complete History of Friday the 13th (2013).
