Why 'My Next Guest Needs No Introduction' Feels Like Vintage David Letterman

Why 'My Next Guest Needs No Introduction' Feels Like Vintage David Letterman
David Letterman blew up the talk-show format as soon as he arrived on Late Night in the 1980s. So it makes a weird kind of sense for him to come out of retirement and blow up it all over again, with his beard bristling and his grumpy streak untamed. His eccentric monthly Netflix chatfest My Next Guest Needs No Introduction is a whole new Dave – he interviews only fellow megastars from Howard Stern to Jay-z to Barack Obama, giving each a full episode. No Late Show antics here (Paul Shaffer

That demo number made Friday’s “Tonight” episode Fallon’s highest-rated regularly scheduled one since Nov. 24, 2016. Also Read: Super Bowl,...

Paul Rudd and Jimmy Fallon Star in "King of Wishful Thinking" Music Video

Jimmy Fallon and Paul Rudd have once again transformed themselves into pop stars, this time filming a shot-for-shot remake of the classic 1990 video for British pop duo Go West's "King of Wishful Thinking" from the Pretty Woman soundtrack.

In it, the two take turns singing and dancing for the camera with wigs, glasses and leather jackets. The bit also starts with a woman dressed up like Julia Roberts' iconic character Vivian, who opens the door of a limo (not unlike the one seen in the 1990 film) for Rudd and Fallon. The woman reappears throughout the video.

The skit...

In the game, contestants have to describe a phrase to their teammate without using any of the words in the phrase and within a limited amount of time.

Despite starting out visibly nervous, Garfield and Higgins pulled it together and scored points on pretty obscure hints. Somehow the Angels in America actor immediately knew that Higgins’ clue “grab...

How Jimmy Fallon Served Another Side of Bob Dylan on NBC’s ‘Tonight Show’

How Jimmy Fallon Served Another Side of Bob Dylan on NBC’s ‘Tonight Show’
Bob Dylan used to make the rare appearance on David Letterman’s late-night shows, but it’s Jimmy Fallon who just gave the enigmatic singer-songwriter a new lease on pop-culture relevance.

“The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” held forth Sunday night in the Orpheum in Minneapolis, part of a live broadcast that took place after NBC’s Super Bowl Lii. Dylan owned the theater for a stretch in the 80s and Fallon wanted to do an homage to the 60s-era singer-songwriter for the 2018 crowd. He had an impression nailed down (He’s done Dylan on “Tonight” in the past). His “Tonight Show” crew has great make-up and costume people. All he needed was a song.

That’s where Mike Dicenzo came in.

Dicenzo, a “Tonight Show” showrunner and producer who has been with Fallon since his days as host of NBC’s “Late Night,” said the show’s staff began discussing the theater’s Dylan connection in December
