Game Of Thrones Season 2 Weather Demons

Game Of Thrones Season 2 Weather Demons

Despite the weather at times behaving, as Michelle Fairley (Catelyn Stark) puts it, like a demon, production for Season 2 of Game of Thrones appears to be one heck of a rewarding experience. In the latest production diary for the series, we are taken to Belfast, Northern Ireland, where production was filming at the time this video was shot. We are immediately introduced to a beautiful landscape. Even location manager Robert Boake, who can be assumed to have scene his fair share of vistas, is taken away by Ireland’s rugged beauty. Too bad it rains in buckets.

No one knows how wet it gets better than Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jamie Lannister), who had been dragged around in the mud for a scene. Ireland can be as pretty as it wants, but swimming in mud is never a lovely time. That’s the downside to places »

'Game of Thrones' is still a constant topic of conversation on Twitter and Facebook, despite being on hiatus. The show's recent Golden Globe nomination for Best Drama doesn't hurt, nor does it's appearance on a zillion top 10 lists. After all, it did have two of the best death scenes ever. A crown of molten metal and a pretty spectacular and surprising beheading.

Since the show wrapped, there has been a ton of casting news and recently a look at the teaser trailer for Season 2. Now we've gotten a brand new video showing some behind-the-scenes footage from the production in Belfast, Ireland.

Not only do we get to hear about why they chose to film there, but we get a couple of tantalizing glimpses of characters and scenes that fans of the book will recognize. Actors Michelle Fairley (Catelyn Stark) and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister) give us a look »

12 December 2011 7:18 AM, PST | HollywoodLife | See recent HollywoodLife news »

No baby dragons to speak of (yet), but the latest trailer for HBO's epic series is still pretty terrifying. Watch it now! If I were Joffrey (Jack Gleeson), I'd be clutching my crown -- and wetting my royal knickers -- right about now. The voice of Robert's brother Stannis Baratheon (Stephen Dillane) bellows in the latest trailer for Game of Thrones' upcoming second season, and his terrifying monologue is full of not-so-idle threats. Words like "loyalty" and "destroy" get thrown around as he lays claim to the iron throne of Westeros. If you thought winter was going to be bad, just wait until Stannis shows up. "Let all true men declare their loyalty," Stannis warns. "The iron throne is mine by right. They will bend a knee or I will destroy them." Along with these spooky words, this new trailer also gives us a look at some of our favorite characters, »

[1] After months of casting news and hilariously unrevealing teasers for Game of Thrones, we finally have a real look at some footage from Season 2. HBO has released a behind-the-scenes featurette about the making of the upcoming season, and though we still don't get to see a whole lot, we do get some good glimpses of returning characters like Arya (Maisie Williams) and Catelyn (Michelle Fairley), as well as new ones including Margaery (Natalie Dormer), Melisandre (Carice van Houten), and Stannis (Stephen Dillane). Plus, series creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss are on hand to talk in pretty general terms about the challenges and rewards of filming the show's second season. Watch the mostly spoiler-free video after the jump. [via Deadline [2]] Aside from the fact that everyone looks good, there's not much to learn from this teaser.
