Talk about acting like a real Captain America! Chris Evans, star of Captain America: The First Avenger and What's Your Number, put smiles on patients' faces Thursday when he visited his hometown's Children's Hospital Boston. The 30-year-old hottie, along with his mother (another sweetheart!), took time out from their own holidays to play with the kids in the hospital's playroom as well as visit the children who were unable to leave their rooms. As if we needed another reason to find Evans attractive?! Swoon. »
As 2011 comes to a close it’s hard to say whether it was a good or bad year for movies. It started out a bit slow but the latter half of the year produced some of my favorite movies in recent years. The following, is the list of what I think are the 10 best films of the year, in order. I will preface this, by saying I did not yet see a few(Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy, Martha Marcy May Marlene, etc) which based on most reviews might bump their way into my list once I’ve seen them.
At a point where comic book movies are churned out every few months, 2011 brought us the best one since The Dark Knight three years ago. One of the films I was legitimately worried about, turned out to be what was one of the best summer blockbusters »

The film features the characters of Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Captain America (Chris Evans), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and lead villain Loki (Tom Hiddleston). However, the industry has long expected that there would be a second villain in the film.

This week, Neca released the product description for its 2012 HeroClix lineup based on The Avengers movie. And, apparently, Loki isn’t the only villain getting a toy made for the movie. The Red Skull reared his vile head on the Neca release. The character, played by Hugo Weaving, appeared in 2011′s Captain America: The First Avenger (aka The Avengers prequel).
The release stated the following: “Charging »

2011 has, despite claims to the contrary, been – for me at least – a pretty decent year for movies. Between comic book flicks, sci-fi, teen comedies and some of the best big-screen horror, I’ve actually seen more films in the cinema this year than any before it… And shockingly not everything was in 3D!
Surprisingly choosing my final top ten wasn’t as difficult as I originally imagined, although I have a feeling that not everyone will agree with anything on this list:
A low-budget, straight to DVD zombie movie as my number one..? Hell Yes! Screened at August’s London Film4 Frightfest, Deadheads turned out to be a surprising mix of John Hughes teen comedy and traditional zombie film. And with shades of Night of the Creeps it was pretty much guaranteed to be on my top ten list come the end of the year. Tucker & Dale vs. Evil
Yet another horror comedy, »

HollywoodNews.com: This time, it’s the best of the best. Of course ‘best’ is a subjective term, so you might want to consider these my ‘favorites’. Despite what everyone likes to whine about at the end of every year, 2011 was in fact one of the better years in a good long time. Maybe it was the effects of the 2007 WGA strike wearing off, maybe it was just dumb luck, but on the whole, movies, especially mainstream movies, were pretty on-spot more often than they weren’t. But just as important, most of the year-end Oscar bait was actually quite good, so this is a year where I don’t have to half-heartedly apologize for having a list filled with movies nobody saw and mainstream pictures that no one admits to liking. Even if it took 1/3 of the year to really get cooking, 2011 was an uncommonly solid »
