The Jetsons will have to take a back seat because the Robinsons are about to go galactic again with Netflix’s remake of “Lost in Space.” The beloved family show may have had its heyday back in the groovy ’60s (and for a moment in the late '90s with the feature film adaptation), but the digital conglomerate has given a series order to their refurbished version of the family space saga. The project will follow closely in its predecessor’s footsteps and track the space-traveling Robinson family as they fall off course and are forced to battle alien environments and their own inner demons. While production on the first season’s 10-episodes won’t start until well into 2017, casting on the project is underway with the crew over at Automatic Sweat Casting. No actors are currently attached to the project, helmed by Zack Estrin, but announcements are expected to »

Streaming giant Netflix has handed out a ten-episode series order for "Lost In Space," the reimagined contemporary reboot of Irwin Allen's classic 1960s sci-fi series from Legendary Television.

Zack Estrin ("Prison Break") will serve as showrunner on the series which was hatched by feature scribes Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless ("Dracula Untold," "The Last Witch Hunter")
