Will was born in Los Angeles, California, in 1978. He attended a private high school and graduated in June 1996 with an A average. His acting career began in 1988 when he was chosen out of 700 children interviewed for "The New Lassie" (1989), which jump-started his career. Will had a couple of roles in TV shows, but all of them were canceled after a few episodes, of which "Meego" (1997) was one. When he got to his 5th TV show, when he was 19, he became a regular on "Kelly Kelly" (1998).

Is an only child.

Co-stars with Tom Guiry in U-571 (2000). Ironically, Estes played Lassie's owner/human friend in the television series "The New Lassie" (1989), while Guiry played a similar role in the film Lassie (1994).

Learned in detail how to behave like a quadriplegic to prepare for his role on The Dive from Clausen's Pier (2005) (TV) .

Won on Celebrity Jeopardy.
