'Jurassic World' Gets Its PG-13 Rating in Today's MPAA Ratings Bulletin

12 May 2015 3:54 PM, PDT | Rope of Silicon | See recent Rope Of Silicon news »

I don't think anyone is surprised to see a PG-13 rating for Jurassic World, but if you'd like the reasoning for said rating see below. This week's bulletin also includes an R-rating for Peter Bogdanovich's new film She's Funny That Way, which hasn't been receiving the kindest reviews, but does star the likes of Jennifer Aniston, Imogen Poots, Lucy Punch, Owen Wilson, Kathryn Hahn, Jennifer Esposito, Debi Mazar, Rhys Ifans, Will Forte, Cybill Shepherd, Tatum O'Neal, Illeana Douglas, Quentin Tarantino and Richard Lewis. So, there's that. Finally, Tangerine is the Sundance film that received a lot of attention because it is apparently a.) good and b.) was shot entirely on an iPhone. The complete bulletin is listed below. Awol-72 Rated R For violence, language throughout and brief sexuality. Batkid Begins Rated PG For some mild thematic material. Dovid Meyer Rated PG For thematic elements. Dragon Blade Rated R For bloody violence. »

Jennifer Esposito Joins Mistresses

10 February 2015 7:13 AM, PST | Boomtron | See recent Boomtron news »

ABC may not be replacing Alyssa Milano’s Mistresses character, but they did need a new one. That is where Jennifer Esposito comes into the picture. She will the new mistress named Calista Raines. She will be replacing Savi’s place as a big sister and she of course brings changes with that. Calista will bring in a certain of level darkness to everyone involved. She is set to be a series regular as we would expect with her kind of role. The third season is expected to premier this summer.

I am glad that they are simply adding a replacement character. It was a good call on their end and it sounds like Jennifer’s character will add something to the show. Sure, she will not be Savi-but it is a story line that fans can become excited about. After all, it will add plenty of drama so they »

She’s Funny That Way Trailer: Peter Bogdanovich is Unfunny This Way

23 January 2015 10:12 AM, PST | FilmSchoolRejects.com | See recent FilmSchoolRejects news »

The director of such classics as The Last Picture Show and Paper Moon is finally making a return after 14 years of absence from features, but after watching the trailer for She’s Funny That Way, I wonder if it’s anything to celebrate. Peter Bogdanovich has been keeping plenty busy over the past decade and a half, doing a little more acting, some hosting duties on TCM, maintaining a blog at Indiewire and helming some TV movies, namely biopics about Natalie Wood and Pete Rose, and a documentary on Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. But his last true picture show, as far as a theatrical narrative release, was the 2001 historically inspired jazz-age farce The Cat’s Meow.  For his comeback, Bogdanovich has written another wild comedy, this time with ex-wife Louise Stratten, and he’s corralled a very impressive cast, as someone of his background can easily do. Imogen Poots stars as a high-class prostitute-turned-Broadway star who »

Legendary director Peter Bogdanovich returns with the new dramatic comedy She's Funny That Way. The first trailer has arrived, and it brings a star studded cast that includes Owen Wilson, Jennifer Aniston, Imogen Poots, Quentin Tarantino, Lucy Punch, Kathryn Hahn, Rhys Ifans, Will Forte and Debi Mazar.

She's Funny That Way follows a married Broadway director named Arnold (Owen Wilson) who falls for prostitute-turned-actress named Izzy (Imogen Poots) and tries to help advance her career. Along for the ride is Izzy's therapist Jane, Jane's husband and and Arnold's wife. Its sure to be one wild ride that fits right in with such Peter Bogdanovich classics as Paper Moon and What's Up Doc?

If She's Funny That Way looks familiar to Peter Bogdanovich enthusiasts, it's because the director originally set out to make the movie in the late 90s. It would have reunited him with his The Last Picture Show leading »
