His play, "The Golden Country" (based on his novel "Chinmoku", aka "Silence"), was performed at the Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester, England with Wolfe Morris, Geoffrey Bateman, Ian Hastings, John Sharp, John Church, and Jenny Twigge in the cast. Richard Negri was director.
