Jamie Elman was born in New York City and raised in Montreal, and has been acting professionally since age 16. He starred in numerous films and television series before landing the lead role of Cody in FOX's hit teen sitcom "Student Bodies", which won him fans around the world and made him a household name in Canada. Elman is best known in the United States for his role as Luke, the resident piano-playing record store guy and boyfriend, on NBC's award-winning and critically acclaimed drama "American Dreams." He was part of the ensemble cast of the critically acclaimed film Shattered Glass opposite Hayden Christensen and Peter Sarsgaard, and has guest-starred on numerous popular series including "Crossing Jordan," "Criminal Minds," "Without A Trace", "CSI: NY" and "The Closer".

Jamie graduated from McGill University with a BA in English. A multi-talented performer, he is also an accomplished pianist and singer. He currently resides in Los Angeles.
