Joan Elan was born on July 24, 1929 in Colombo, Ceylon as Joan Georgian Bingham-Newland. She was an actress, known for Darby's Rangers (1958), The Girls of Pleasure Island (1953) and The King's Thief (1955). She died on January 7, 1981.

Trivia (1)

She lived in England prior to World War II, acting on stage. Publicity stills led to her being spotted by a talent scout and signed to a contract by Paramount in 1951. She appeared in a couple of films, but never made it beyond ingénue status. The rest of her brief career was spent guest starring in episodic television.
